The position
As a Project Officer Intern, you will participate in a project team that is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the development of medical devices. For instance, the desire to improve a system or process, address a present issue, introduce a new raw material, or develop a new component for a medical device, could all be driving forces behind your project.
Together we will find the projects that match your interests and align with business purpose. In the process of finding solutions to production problems' underlying causes, you will have the opportunity to employ methodical problem-solving techniques.
Practicalities: Internship period: We are flexible here, but we prefer 5-6 months Working hours: Full-time 37 hours/week (with the flexibility during exam period) Start date: 01 February 2024 The internship is remunerated if your educational track allows for it Full-time Danish work permit is required Students must be enrolled at a university through the entire internship period. Both the internship period and working hours will be flexible to accommodate school projects/exams.
Qualifications
You are a student in your Bachelor’s (ideally second or third year) and Master’s degree who is interested in Project Management and the Optimization of Systems and Processes. You are studying in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metal Engineering, Plastic Engineering, or any similar fields.
To succeed in this role, you need: A strong desire for improvements/optimizations and a natural curiosity Self-motivated spirit and great collaboration skills as a team play Analytical mindset with an understanding of the fundamentals of project management methods An individual approach with a can-do attitude and interpersonal skills to dealing with different personalities Fluency in both spoken and written English Knowledge of Danish is considered advantageous.
As a person, you are well-communicated which enables you to navigate a diverse landscape of stakeholders such as product development, production, and suppliers. Your enthusiasm and drive enable you to get support for your solutions and ideas. Willingness to take initiative and the ability to set direction allow you to work independently. At the same time, you enjoy supporting and helping others, and you value personal relationships. About the department
In Hillerød, which is a division of the Device & Supply company within Product Supply, you will work alongside 50+ other co-workers in the Device Manufacturing Development Department for Components. We bridge the gap between Device Research & Development and Production by developing and validating manufacturing processes to produce medical device components.
As part of the Component Project Office, you will be working with a team of 10 project managers who work on various projects within medical device development. The projects cover among other expansions, sustainability, improvement of i.e., materials, process performance, and device functionality. We work closely with both internal- and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate the projects. We always strive to achieve the best results for our patients, while having fun doing so.
