Take this rare opportunity and join our Device Manufacturing & Sourcing II (DMS II) department. The position As Injection Moulding Engineer, you will be responsible for the injection moulding tools used to produce plastic device components at our Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs). You play a crucial role along the journey from concept development to full scale operation. You collaborate closely with project managers and colleagues in device manufacturing development, bringing in valuable insights and requirements from an operational point of view. Upon finalization of the development and validation phase, you will be the process owner who is responsible for ensuring flawless, safe, and compliant operation of the different tools running around the world. Some of your main focus include:
  • Ordering, commissioning, and validation of new moulding tools
  • Supporting the operation at the contract manufacture with a focus on continuously improvement of processes and mould performance to ensure that we can manufacture quality components in an effective way
  • Involvement in deviation handling which includes root-cause investigation and provide solutions to the issues and implementation of preventive measures
  • Driving different types of technical projects as well as sharing best practice to improve our standards of working (i.e. working in a LEAN way)
  • Participating in requirement definition, concept design of new equipment, design reviews and acceptance testing, including review and approval of relevant documents
  • Initiating and driving improvement initiatives as well as facilitating technology transfer to Contract Manufacturing Organisations
  • The position is located Hillerød/Greater Copenhagen area. You should also expect international travels to equipment vendors and CMO's. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we imagine you:
  • Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any other related field
  • Have a previous work experience with injection moulding, ideally obtained within a manufacturing development and/or GMP production of medical devices, including process validation
  • Are self-driven, proactive with a high degree of responsibility and possess a high-quality mindset
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate clearly
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • As a person, you have an inquisitive nature and can strike the right balance between driving results and looking out for the wellbeing of your colleagues. You are able to structure and simplify complex subject matter and focus on the most essential aspects. You are a quick learner, not afraid to admit knowledge limitations and reach out to people across the organisation. You enjoy working in teams and your communication is crisp, to the point and respectful. About the department Novo Nordisk is significantly increasing its manufacturing capacity across all areas to serve many more patients in the coming years. To this end, a new Device Manufacturing & Sourcing business unit (DMS II) has recently been created to ensure medical device component manufacturing and pre-assembly capacity for future growth.
