The position
As our new Head of Environment, Health & Safety in API production, you will be responsible for developing and accomplishing our strategies within the EHS area and ensuring that we remain best in class in the area. You will work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure our high performance in the area both short and long-term.

You will be responsible for:
  • Driving and developing the External Environment and Occupational Health and Safety functional strategies for Product Supply (PS) API
  • Developing and owning standards for PS API within External Environment and Occupational Health and Safety
  • Making sure that our legal, and ISO certification requirements are met, and evaluating all external environment and occupational health and safety factors in our capacity expansion projects
  • Ensuring that suppliers have enough capacity for critical utilities and waste management
  • Driving our Circular for Zero ambition including expansion of industrial symbiosis activities
  • Last but not least, you will be responsible for leading a team of 6-8 highly specialized colleagues, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration and open communication, and driving progress towards environmental goals.
    Qualifications
    We imagine that a successful candidate has:
  • A Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or another relevant field
  • Some years of experience in managerial positions within the EHS area in a production setting
  • Fluent English skills
  • As a person, you work effectively through others and command natural respect through your leadership and stakeholder management skills. You work independently and proactively and enjoy identifying improvement initiatives supporting production facilities. You have a flair for motivating and engaging employees and stakeholders – customer orientation and cooperation skills are extremely important. You have a high drive and work efficiency. About the department
    The position is placed in API Business Support area at production site in Kalundborg which is part of our global production division: Product Supply – counting close to 14.000 employees worldwide. The team is newly established and currently consists of a handful highly engaged employees. The API Business Support area consists of about 160 highly qualified employees with a multitude of professional backgrounds, all with the common purpose of supporting our production the best way possible.
