In Novo Nordisk, we are investigating new API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) manufacturing facilities to support the company portfolio of future oral and injectable pharmaceuticals. We are hiring an Engineering Manager to set technical direction and make sure the project follows design standards.
The position as Engineering Manager
We are looking for an additional Engineering Manager to manage the scope of project activities in terms of investigating design, constructability, schedule, and cost for a new production facility. You will be part of an Engineering Management team where collaboration and partnership are cornerstones in our way of working. The key design principle will be to implement the best-in-class standards from other production facilities. You will also be responsible for change management and overseeing that our PEM model is used in the best way for the project. Your focus will be a smooth transition of changes from Novo Nordisk to engineering partners and thereby to support implementing known solutions as well as helping develop new design solutions where relevant. You will take active part in integrating with engineering partners and collaborating with contractors while supervising their activities. You, together with Senior Engineering Managers, will manage any project risks proactively and develop standards to ensure structure and transparency.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for change management Facilitate design and technology discussions internally and towards engineering partners Support colleagues in solving complex challenges and optimise systems and equipment for the production Focus on providing innovative, efficient, and effective solutions and systems Focus on consistency of work, cross-disciplinary quality, reviews and compliance with pharmaceutical codes and regulations Co-develop standards and guidelines which supports the overall program Qualifications 4-6 years of relevant engineering experience within medical production, preferably from API production or finished products You hold a master's or bachelor's degree (in Engineering or similar) You have a solid understanding of process equipment, automation and working in a GMP regulated environments You have excellent analytical, planning and organizing skills and can prioritize tasks You have profound insight into systematic problem-solving You are proficient in both written and spoken English and an are good at doing presentations If you are a self-starter who thrives with driving tasks independently and seeking opportunities to take the next step in your career, this role could be for you. With your strong logical ability, you will succeed in transforming complex information from the scoping phase to execution and completion. You will have the ability to network and know who to reach out to, build trust in your relationships and get commitment from internal and external stakeholders.
