We are looking for a PhD Programme Coordinator to support a new interdisciplinary PhD-program at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC), University of Copenhagen (UCPH). We are looking for an employee with at least master's level education, EU project management skills, preferably of Marie S Curie programs and the ability to collaborate with many different parties. If you match this, you may be our new colleague in BRIC’s Strategic Research Support team. The position is a full-time position and has a start date of 1 January 2025 or as soon as possible hereafter.

About us

BRIC is a research centre of excellence, focusing on disease-oriented biomedical research and is part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. We host 22 independent research groups aiming to understand diseases like cancer, neurological and metabolic disorders. We strive to create world-class research training and have a national PhD-programme as well as several international PhD-programs. Your tasks

You will be part of BRIC's strategic research support (SRS) team and will work both independently with own responsibility areas primarily within an upstarting EU Marie S. Curie PhD-programme. The programme is a collaborative interdisciplinary PhD-program counting seven different institutes at UCPH and DTU. You will work closely with BRIC’s other coordinators of EU programs for PhD-students and postdocs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination of an EU Marie S. Curie PhD-programme, including planning and administration of PhD courses and workshops
  • HR-related tasks and coordination around international recruitment of the PhD-fellows and enrolments
  • Be the contact person for the PhD students enrolled in the programme
  • Development of the project webpage (in collaboration with communication professionals)
  • Contribute to the administration of BRIC's EU-supported Marie S. Cure PhD programmes
  • Take care of project milestones, deliverables and reporting
  • Ad hoc tasks related to events and activities organised by the SRS team

Profile

We are looking for an employee with a relevant academic education at master's level and experience with management of EU projects, preferably PhD-projects funded under the Marie S- Curie work programme. In addition, you:

  • have good communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • have a good organizational understanding
  • possess the ability to interact with many different stakeholders, including international PhD students, PhD supervisors and the PhD school under the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
  • have skills in Office 365 and willingness to learn new systems
  • are fluent in English, both written and spoken, as it is our daily working language
  • have an interest in contributing positively to the collegial community

Finally, it is crucial for your success in the position that you are proactive and can work independently as well as in collaborations.

Terms of salary and employment

Your employment will be at BRIC, University of Copenhagen. The position is full-time (37 hours per week) and with employment preferably from 1 January 2025

Employment as PhD Programme Coordinator will be in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisation. The position is advertised at the salary level of Academic Officer (Fuldmægtig).

Depending on qualifications a supplement may be negotiated.
