Over the past five years, DFDS Logistics Division has more than doubled the business. For the next five years DFDS has set ambitious targets and we are now looking for a Senior Vice President (SVP) for Logistics Dry to drive the continued development
SVP, Head of Logistics Dry is a newly created position due to a strategic reorganisation of the Logistics Division to enable the future growth of the business.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President Logistics, you’ll have responsibility for driving the growth of the business unit and developing a long-term commercial strategy for the next three to five years with sustainability as a key lever.
Global dry cargo revenues at DFDS are significant, with approximately yearly DKK 12,5 bn DKK for the Logistics division. Being the SVP for Logistics Dry, you’ll hold ultimate responsibility both commercially and operationally. You’ll be an integral member of Logistics Management Team and manage a team of three Vice Presidents covering the business units for Logistics Nordic Dry, Logistics Continent Dry and Logistics UK & Ireland Dry.
About the role
As SVP Head of Logistic Dry, you will be responsible for a P&L of DKK7bn. The strategic ambition is to continue to grow the top-line with a double-digit margin through both organic and inorganic means, with the group strategy for the Logistics Division to have doubled in size by 2027.

The SVP Head of Logistics Dry responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Become a customer-centric organization that delivers best-in-class commercial excellence and inject a customer-first mindset into the newly formed divisions with clear trackable KPIs.
- As the ultimate accountable leader for operations with the Dry Division, the role holder will be required to oversee the end-to-end operational performance of the business through robust performance management focussing upon cost savings, efficiencies and customer service levels.
- Lead and engage people creating development opportunities, successfully managing change and communication to facilitate a positive collaborative and developmental culture.
- Ensure proper implementation of leading-edge commercial methodology, innovation, tools and techniques.
- Establish strong, fully transparent, proactive and effective working relationships across the senior leadership team, Executive Management Team and Board.
- Role model for the DFDS values, lead by example as an energetic and inspiring leader, bringing together key business stakeholders and top management on the Logistics Division.
Who you are?
- You have a commercial acumen with P&L experience either as a regional CEO or a Divisional CEO within a corporate environment as the ultimate responsibility.
- You have broad international experience with multi-site network, large operational workforces and strong trade union exposure.
- You have an operational excellence with multiple examples of driving standardisation and continuous improvement.
- You are an energetic and inspirational leader with focus to develop a high-performance based culture and with the ability to communicate, influence and elevate performance across all levels of an organization - from top to bottom.
