The Position As Compliance Manager, you will be part of a team dedicated to drive the Danish affiliate’s compliance and business ethics focus and be a key stakeholder for Line of Business (LoB) instrumental in accelerating business success and putting patients first as we are working to optimise diabetes and obesity care. In addition, you will provide key compliance support as Novo Nordisk is entering into new therapy areas in the future. You will be safeguarding our license to operate and reputation by identifying and mitigating compliance risks and guiding LoB on how to ensure that we meet compliance requirements in projects where we are finding new ways of supporting patients and healthcare personnel. Your main responsibilities will be:
  • To advise the organization on, and be the subject matter expert in, the relevant Danish regulation as well as corporate business ethics requirements.
  • To identify, assess, mitigate and manage compliance and business ethics risks, being a driven and proactive business partner to LoB when planning, developing and reviewing business development and other commercial initiatives.
  • To develop and strengthen business ethics and compliance mindset and capabilities within the affiliate by way of supporting in creating trainings and other awareness initiatives.
  • To support in the development and implementation of the local Compliance Programme as well as the development of the annual Compliance Plan.
  • To help prepare for internal audits and external inspections in relation to compliance and ensure up-to-date templates for agreements with HCPs and HCOs.
  • The main workplace will be our office, with the flexibility to work from home. Our office is located in Copenhagen, Ørestaden. Qualifications The ideal candidate is business-oriented with the courage to be part of decisions in pioneering projects to improve healthcare in Denmark, and with the integrity to ensure we never compromise on business ethics. Experience within the field of Compliance, for example, knowledge of analysing compliance issues, sales, marketing, medical information, research or training is essential for the role as well as knowledge of relevant Danish regulation for pharmaceutical companies. We require both Danish and English fluency. Experience of reviewing promotional and non-promotional material is an advantage. Moreover,
  • You are structured and detail-oriented, with a keen interest in understanding all parts of our business.
  • You have strong work ethics and are willing to take responsibility for your own learning and ownership of your own tasks.
  • You are solution-oriented and pragmatic and have strong stakeholder management skills, as you will be working with many different types of stakeholders.
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills and work well both independently and as a team player.
  • About the Affiliate and Department Our Danish and Icelandic affiliate consists of approx. 170 employees across all functions. As Compliance Manager you will be a part of the relatively new Legal, Compliance & Quality team consisting of five people – the LCQ Director, two Legal & Compliance Managers, one Quality Manager and a LCQ Student Assistant, and you will report directly to the LCQ Director.
