As our Demand Planning Manager, you will be an important part of shaping the future of our supply chain by transforming market insights into concrete forecasts and high-level capacity plans. Develop our S&OP
At demant, we are looking to take our S&OP to the next level, gearing up for smarter business decisions. You will be part of our evolving Global Supply Chain Planning department as a specialist in S&OP.
“You are joining us at a very interesting time, as we are assessing our planning systems.” says your new manager, Martin McKinnon Edwards and continues “We are curious to hear your insights and utilize your knowledge to evaluate how we can move forward in the most optimal way.”
You will be based in demant´s headquarter in Smørum close to Copenhagen, where you will be working alongside the S&OP Manager. The strategic development of the global supply chain is highly prioritized on the overall operation’s agenda, where we are moving away from a local and decentralized approach to a much more global focus.
This is good opportunity if you want to explore your leadership skills, as you will be responsible for our Demand Planning Specialist located in Poland.
You will also get to utilize your skills to create market insights and data analysis to develop demand forecasts and high-level capacity plans based on your awareness of market trends, customer behavior and industry developments.

We are looking for an individual who is used to working with structure and data in a collaborative environment. Good communication skills are crucial for maintaining organization and clarity in a time-sensitive situation, especially as deadlines approach. Additionally, the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across all organizational levels is essential.
While experience with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) is advantageous, seniority is not the decisive factor for this role, as it can be tailored to your profile. Our goal is to identify the right individual with an interest for numbers and a commitment to utilizing data in the enhancement of the company's processes.
We don’t expect that you have people management experience, but it should be something that you have an interest in and want to explore with this opportunity.

You will be part of the Global Planning team with 20+ skilled colleagues across demand planning, capacity and production planning and inventory management. Half the team in located in Poland, so a lot of contact with them is via Teams. The team is responsible for planning our supply chain and production in all aspects from daily operational planning to the future strategic footprint.
We are a part of Global Supply Chain with 135+ colleagues, who specializes in procurement, supply chain excellence and much more. We share an open office space with, so answers to your questions are always just a few desks or a Teams call away.

- Forecasting analysis and optimization, and ensure continuous improvement in forecasting methodologies,
- Take the lead in promoting various strategic and ad hoc initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and strategic enhancements.
- Provide analytical foundation for decisions related to future capacity planning, inventory management, and product mix optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data-driven decision-making across various aspects of the supply chain and play a central and influential role in the successful launch of new products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Experienced planner with people management
Your educational background is not important to us, we are more interested in the experience you have picked up along the way.
Some of the things we look for are if you have:
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills, both quantitatively and qualitatively
- Ability to effectively deliver initiatives, collaborating with others as necessary.
- Proficiency in efficiently constructing complex models and analyses using Excel.
