European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We cover all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early development to operation and in some cases divestment of assets as well as power-to-X. Our company of +400 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2.0 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 30 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in 16 other locations, primarily in Europe. Our vision is to be a major global presence in guiding the green transition and create the power of tomorrow, today.
In the newly created role as ESG Reporting Specialist you will be part of our Business Development team with three motivated colleagues and have a close interaction with colleagues in the entire organization.
You will supervise European Energy´s reporting on ESG to ensure compliance with various sustainability regulatory frameworks and legislative requirements at EU and national level. As the role is new in European Energy you will get a unique opportunity to shape the role as well as the development and implementation of procedures and mechanisms that ensure the relevant ESG-data is collected, reported on and monitored at group level.

Areas of responsibility
- Supervise European Energy’s compliance with respect to the relevant sustainability frameworks and legislative requirements at EU and national level.
- Strengthen and supervise ESG reporting in European Energy
- Contribute to the development and implementation of ESG procedures and mechanisms that ensure data is collected, monitored and reported on at Group level
- Ensure alignment and communication between different departments
Your profile
- You have at least two years of experience with reporting, for instance from a similar role
- You have great oral and written communication skills in English and Danish.
- You are good at aligning and engaging with different stakeholders
- You are good at translating complex information into easily understandable material
- You have knowledge of different reporting directives such as the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD) and you are up to date with the developments in other regulatory frameworks such as the Corporate Social Responsibility Directive (CSRD), the EU Taxonomy and the EU Due Diligence Directive on Human Rights and the Environment.
- You have knowledge and experience with reporting frameworks such as Global Reporting Initiative (GR)/ Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB).
