We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer with a passion for Event Driven Architecture who will shape, develop and implement digital solutions, ultimately unfold one of the biggest business opportunities we have in Novo Nordisk.
You are to: Drive and build value-driving, innovative digital solutions from the ground up with a user-centric approach and implement event driven architecture across subsystems Advocate for good API designs and versioning Help drive operational maturity and DevOps mindset Explore new technologies and tools to apply during the development of these solutions Guide and mentor software developers on the team while prioritizing your work with the team and its product owner, weighing both the business and technical value of each task Develop subject matter expertise within a technical domain area – actively mentors other across the organization/product in the subject matter expertise area Work closely with technical and business stakeholders, advise, and drive decision making through effective communication As a technology choice, we are primarily using Microsoft Azure and .NET/C# for Backend, Frontend is Vue.js, the Mobile App is being written using ionic, and we are building full end-to-end digital solutions using Cloud and CI/CD pipelines. As we are pioneering the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk, we expect you to challenge and encourage the organization as well as take part in establishing a strong internal community to share knowledge and takeaways.
Which competencies will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you should come with a strong understanding and hands-on experience within broad software development i.e. within system architecture, coding for scale, communicating possibilities about what can be built and maintained, as well as love to experiment and build MVPs.
We expect you have: 10+ years’ professional experience and will likely come from a similar position Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field Solid .NET and hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, especially around PaaS/SaaS service offerings Good API and event contract designs is something that is important to you Broad knowledge of Azure resources and Azure DevOps is a plus You are passionate about development and could have a presence on GitHub or other OSS platforms with publicly available code that will help us assess your skills Experience with Mobil App development is a plus, but not a need About The Department People that are successful in The Digital Accelerator care deeply about three things: Putting technology to use, how we work and continuously innovate/develop/operate our product and love the complex domain that we exist in and drive impact through. You will be joining one of our cross-functional scrum team(s) (Product Owner, UX/UI Designer, Front- and Back-end Engineers and Scrum Master). The team(s) deliver solutions to our clinical trial area, specializing in re-thinking how we enhance the digital capabilities of the clinical trial process in Novo Nordisk. Together with your team you will help evolve best practices for software development in this domain. Within Digital Accelerator we are also building out standards and sharing them across all our product teams to enable faster time to market and driving better outcomes for our customers and colleagues.
