Novo Nordisk continues to build and invest in in-house digital solutions, and we in the Digital Accelerator are playing an instrumental role in partnering with the business to bring these solutions to life. We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer with a passion for Observability who will shape, develop, and implement digital solutions, ultimately unfold one of the biggest business opportunities we have in Novo Nordisk.
You are to join one of our cross-functional scrum team(s) (Product Owner, UX/UI Designer, Front- and Back-end Engineers and Scrum Master). The team(s) deliver solutions to our clinical trial area, specializing in re-thinking how we enhance the digital capabilities of the clinical trial process in Novo Nordisk. Together with your team you will help evolve best practices for software development in this domain. Within Digital Accelerator we are also building out standards and sharing them across all our product teams to enable faster time to market and driving better outcomes for our customers and colleagues.
Your day-to-day responsibilities are to:
  • Drive and build value-driving and innovative digital solutions from the ground up with a user-centric approach
  • Advocate for good Observability practices within and across teams
  • Help drive operational maturity and DevOps mindset
  • Explore new technologies and tools to apply during the development of these solutions
  • Develop subject matter expertise within a technical domain area – actively mentors other across the organization/product in the subject matter expertise area
  • Experiment, test, try, fail and learn all the time
  • You are also to guide and mentor software developers of the team, work closely with the technical and business stakeholders and drive decision making through effective communication.
    Which competencies will you bring?
    As our Senior Software Developer, you should come with a strong understanding and hands-on experience within broad software development i.e. within system architecture, coding for scale, communicating possibilities about what can be built and maintained, as well as love to experiment and build MVPs.

    We expect you have:
  • 10+ years’ professional experience and will likely come from a similar position.
  • Minimum a BSc degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant field
  • Solid .NET and hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, especially around PaaS/SaaS service offerings
  • Practical experience with Observability
  • DevOps Mindset
  • Broad knowledge of Azure resources and Azure DevOps is a plus
  • Experience with Mobil App development is a plus, but not a need
  • You are passionate about software development and could have a presence on GitHub or other OSS platforms with publicly available code that will help us assess your skills.
