We are currently looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer, working in the Electrical Department for one of our clients in the Danish Wind Industry. The client is one of the major wind turbine producers globally and located in Central Jutland, Denmark.

Area of Responsibility

  • Concept development and mechanical design of Electrical Cabinets for all electrical solutions in the turbine
  • To drive a variety of engineering tasks on all product stages from initial concept of cabinet to design and manufacturing, FAT, through to installation
  • Work with 3D modeling and 2D drafting
  • Work with rough structural calculations
  • Execute design reviews with stakeholders
  • Collaboration with stakeholders throughout the value chain like Prototype Workshop, Procurement, Service, Production, EHS and Suppliers
  • Participate in prototype assembly in workshop and implement lessons learned
  • Work with design improvements, cost outs etc.

Qualifications & Competences

  • Practical background as electrical, electronical or industrial technician, electrical designer/constructor, auto mechanic or similar, with minimum 2 years of experience
  • Knowledge of electrical switchboard
  • Experience in 3D modeling; experience with NX Siemens PLM is an advantage
  • Experience in Design for Assembly is an advantage
  • Self-starter, structured and pro-active problem solver that work well both independently and in teams
  • High degree of personal planning and able to meet deadlines
  • Possess strong communication skills in English, orally and in writing
