The position The Data Science Outsourcing Partner Management Lead role will be responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for external CRO partners, managing studies effectively, and building relationships with external partners to ensure innovative, efficient, and effective study operations. As a Data Science Outsourcing Partner Management Lead, you will have the opportunity to: Develop strategies to scale partnerships with external CRO partners, identifying opportunities for increased c ollaboration and efficiency. Establish and maintain strong relationships with external CRO partners, serving as the primary point of contact and building a foundation for a successful relationship. Establish strong working relationships between internal function teams and CRO partners, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and project coordination. Collaborate with CRO partners to monitor performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive the success of outsourcing initiatives and drive continuous improvement. Coordinate the escalation and resolution of issues that arise in studies, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that they are addressed in a timely and effective manner. Manage budgets and financial aspects related to outsourcing operations, optimizing resource allocation for maximum efficiency. Negotiate new contracts with CROs to support additional studies or to scale the partnership with new capabilities. The tasks will be performed highly independently in collaboration with the Project Director, Outsourcing and other central stakeholders across Data Science, Development, and Novo Nordisk more broadly and will be carried out from our site in Søborg, Denmark . Qualifications: To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., life sciences, business administration). At least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on outsourcing partner management. Experience working with sophisticated CRO partners with a deep understanding of their business and contracting models. Strong background in contract negotiations and driving innovation with CRO partners. Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing studies with external partners. Experience managing multiple studies with external partners simultaneously preferred. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with CRO partners and internal stakeholders. Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of outsourcing activities. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team and to work collaboratively across departments and functions to achieve common goals. Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through change in a large, complex organization. About the Department The Data Science organization within Novo Nordisk's global Development organization is responsible for clinical data capture, storage, analysis, modeling and simulation as well as the application of artificial intelligence/machine learning.
