Group Procurement & Sourcing Manager

This is your chance to join us at an exciting time with plenty of opportunities to create cost efficient, sustainable procurement and sourcing. We will expect you to lead, drive and develop our Group Procurement & Sourcing at Toms Group A/S for ensuring a cost-efficient setup.
At our headquarters in Ballerup, you will join our Group Supply Chain Management Team referring to our Group Supply Chain Director.
Your challenges
As Group Procurement & Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and anchoring Toms’ sustainable sourcing activities. You will oversee and manage Group Procurement & Sourcing including Category Management (raw materials and packaging) and Group Indirect Procurement. Together with your team, consisting of three Category Managers, three Packaging Engineers and two within Indirect Procurement, you will develop, drive and execute strategic procurement, providing maximum procurement value to our business across the entire value chain.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Proactively ensure that Toms Group A/S has the appropriate organizational set-up and the right capabilities and capacity for Group Procurement & Sourcing
- Proactively ensure that Toms Group has the appropriate purchase- and sourcing model, continuously adapting and adjusting to market needs with a specific focus on the optimal balance between in-sourced or out-sourced.
- Develop a sourcing organization to reach our group strategy and objectives for procurement and sourcing. When developed: operate the sourcing organization in a cost-efficient manner, meeting market needs and internal objectives as well as external legal requirements.
- Set and follow up on objectives for the Group Procurement & Sourcing organization as well as launch and run initiatives to reach the set objectives.
- Ensure that objectives, KPIs and methods of the Procurement & Sourcing organization reflect sustainability considerations and requirements (next to cost and efficiency).
- Cooperate and build strong partnership with internal stakeholders, e.g., Marketing & Innovation, Product Development, Planning & Logistic, Quality & Regulatory, our Productions sites in Denmark and Poland, in order to develop cost efficiency for new and existing products.
- Have an ongoing focus on strengthening Toms Group A/S’s focus on efficiency targets for Procurement & Sourcing as opposed to its role as profit center and procurement revenue as a result target.
With reference to the Group Supply Chain Director, you will join the Group Supply Chain Management Team where you will participate in the development and execution of Toms Group A/S’ strategy. In addition, you will actively participate in continuously developing a powerful and coherent Group Supply Chain Management Team.
Your qualifications
You have proven to be an experienced leader, having a drive for leading successful teams. You have proven track record on transforming procurement and building a strong sourcing organization. You have an excellent analytical, strategical, and business-oriented mindset alongside a holistic view of expenditure, however with proper curiosity to details for identifying and realizing potential, reducing costs and tied-up capital in the Group.
Moreover, we expect you to:
- Be a team-oriented person
- Have proven capabilities to define strategies, translating them into practical implementation.
- Be experienced with change management, transformations- and people development, having a good track record of employee motivation and satisfaction.
- Be experienced within the food sector, preferably from the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sector.
- +5 years’ experience working with Strategic Procurement & Sourcing on Group Management level.
- 3-5 years’ experience with people management.
- Speak and write English fluently and to have Danish on conversational level as a minimum
