Quality Engineer - Demant, Ballerup

Join the Global Amplifier organisation
You will be joining the Demant Group, which develops and produces some of the most advanced hearing aids in the world. More specifically, you will take part in supporting our Global Amplifier organization in Ballerup. At our site, we are 150 employees in total, including 80 colleagues in our production. We are currently looking for a new colleague with technology flair, and who would like to work with our production to ensure compliance of our products and processes.
As our new, Quality Engineer, you will be part of our competence center for automated production of microelectronics. Through early involvement in the development of future amplifiers for hearing aids, we ensure "New Product Introduction" (NPI) and efficient production as such. We are responsible for building up a complete production setup used in connection with the product launch and the subsequent volume production.
Your daily work life
You will be participating in daily board meetings where our tasks are discussed and prioritized. “The Vice President of the Global Amplifier Operations and site responsible is really making an impact when it comes to being more transparent regarding projects and responsibilities. – This ensures a comfortable working environment where we can always help each other out on a daily basis”, says hiring manager, Anne-Mette Reimann.
You will also get in touch with multiple stakeholders such as your nearest quality colleagues as well as colleagues from the production, project managers and the quality department in Poland. Furthermore, you can look forward to being doing training in our Quality Management System plus working with new instructions for the system. You will also be in charge of following up on documentation working with ECR.
Your focus will be:
- Quality investigations for production and NPI-projects
- CAPAs
- ECR for vol-prod (change requests regarding new/existing products and processes)
- Validation – support locally
- Audit support
- Continuous improvement
- Apart from our Oticon hearing aid brand, assist the “Oticon Medical” Cochlear Implants-production
- Support New Product Introduction; quality requirements, approve releases etc.
- Support transfer of processes to our Poland-site
You can expect to get a wide variety of tasks and challenges, covering quality and compliance. You will get the chance to communicate and collaborate with many different stakeholders on different levels and sites, from experts in the development organization to our operators on the floor.
Be part of the best Quality team in Ballerup
You will be part of our Quality team, which today includes three engaged Quality Engineers reporting to the Quality Manager. Our mission is to support the production in manufacturing products according to specifications, support in improving processes as well as the Quality Management System to support our class II (hearing aids) and class III (cochlear implants) - Medical Device production (ISO 13485).
Your experience
You have a relevant technical background and have worked with manufacturing of electronics. We expect you to have several years of work experience within quality and compliance in production. Furthermore, we expect you to have strong experience with stakeholder management, quality management, and quality control.
Our daily work is characterized by continuous improvements, so it is important that you as a person are positive, open, and has the competencies to adapt. You have good interpersonal and communication skills and like sparring and sharing information with your colleagues. Finally, you have a ‘can do attitude’ and prioritizing between different tasks to achieve your own and our common goal comes natural to you.
