Join the GCO Global Product Management team
Based at our office in Hedehusene, Denmark you become part of our Global Commercial Organisation (GCO), which is responsible for supporting our customer focus agenda globally and across all our divisions. Our team work together to shape standard and scalable add-on services to support our core freight business towards our customers by ease the exchange of information, create insights and provide visibility.
Joining our team, you will make up a key area within our organisation taking charge of the development of solutions and processes that will make it easier for our customers to integrate with DSV (via EDI, API etc.) and offer new add-on services to increase visibility for critical shipments in DSV (pharma, theft prevention, time critical etc.).
Take ownership of our integration and visibility tools
As product owner you will be taking the lead in driving forward and developing our integration services. Taking ownership of forming and managing these services – and with a hands-on approach – you will be in charge of developing the key functionalities that will support our integrations with external parties (e.g. submitting bookings, printing labels, tracking shipment status, electronic invoices etc.). Doing so, you will need to work closely with key stakeholders within the business and external parties to gain a clear understanding of these processes and to find ways to simplify them.
Next to managing our integrations, you will play a key role in building up our new visibility services by investigating and understanding DSV’s and our customers’ pain points when transporting critical shipments around the globe. This insight will provide a critical foundation to form the functional requirements and needs towards the final sellable services. Through this process, you will coordinate with our internal control towers to define their processes and ensure internal awareness/training of our sales teams and operations. As the marked around visibility evolves rapidly, you will facilitate the testing of new physical tracking devices (attached to shipments, warehouses, crates etc.), connecting with external providers to obtain (e.g. flight, vessel, rail, trailer GPS, weather predictions, traffic status) etc. to develop tomorrows visibility solution with a focus on scalable and cost efficient offerings towards our customers.
More specifically your tasks include:
• Form the commercial appearance for external integration and visibility services
• Increase internal awareness related to integrations and visibility
• Develop the process design and definition for the Visibility control towers
• Manage the product roadmap
• Define user stories and coordinate development with Global IT and the Divisional Product Owner (DPO)
• Testing new developments and coordinate User Acceptance Testing of same
• Supporting and guiding DPO in future development
• Keeping relevant stakeholder informed
Technological curiosity and operational understanding
You are the right fit for this position if you have a keen interest in the latest technology and an interest in how it applies to our solutions. Project experience is an advantage, as well as an higher education where innovation may have been one of the subjects.
Equally important are your communication skills and ability to navigate within and across our organisation. It is also vital that you are not afraid to challenge the business to ensure that we deliver standardised and efficient solutions while still mastering the art of compromise.
• You are process savvy
• You have a worked with API (and potentially EDI)
• You understand project management principals
• You have a mindset around shaping solutions into sellable offerings
• You have a logistics background with IT related tasks and/or you have worked with IOT devices to monitor critical information.
