Take on an exciting and critical role
In IT Operations & Services, part of DSV Panalpina Global IT, you will take on the role as Product Owner for Platform Services supporting DSV Panalpina’s strategy on developing a Hybrid Cloud platform. Platform Services cover technologies for Event Streaming, Storage Orchestration, Enrichment Services and Database services for structured and semi-structured data which is all delivered using DevOps methodologies.
Set the direction and drive the development
As Product Owner you will ensure a continuous planning and adjustment of the teams’ deliverables to match the demands of the projects and business. We are implementing our new IT strategy with hybrid cloud, IT security, centralisation and automation as key aspects and your focus will be to translate loosely defined features in the program backlog to well defined deliverables in the Platform Services product backlog.

Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure that as much business value as possible is delivered by the team
- Ensure that the team can clarify business requirements by facilitating workshops with the team and business
- Define user stories and prioritizes the team backlog
- Work together with the Product Manager to ensure that the products delivered meets the expectations of the business
- Ensure quality control of delivered solutions
- Responsible for reviewing and giving feedback on team deliveries
- Responsible for approving user stories as done
- Responsible for the team backlog
Primary tasks:
- Ensure that the right product is developed and that the team generates as much business value as possible
- Writes user stories and decides whether user stories are done
- Ensure that the team backlog is visible, transparent, ready for the team, and meets the expectations of the product manager
- Set goals for the iterations and defines acceptance criteria for the deliveries together with the team
- Assist product management with creating the vision and roadmap for what the team wants to deliver within the ART
- Available for clarifying tasks for the team
- Responsible for ensuring alignment between strategy and execution together with the Product Manager, the Release Train Engineer and relevant stakeholders
Strong IT Infrastructure background
You are a strong leader with impact and combined with your strong knowledge on IT Infrastructure technologies, you can lead and transform the highly skilled specialists from various technology teams from the classic organisation into the agile way of working. With your structured and proactive approach, you are always one step ahead, and you can maintain a structured work environment in an organisation characterised by change.
In addition, you:
- have a relevant degree within IT
- are familiar with working with DevOps and Agile methodologies
- are an experienced leader with a proven track record of lifting teams and individuals to work in an agile framework
- are a strong communicator in English both verbally and in writing
