On behalf of Watson-Marlow Flexicon Group, based in Ringsted, we offer you a position as Product Manager of aseptic filling systems for the pharma- and biotechnical industries. You will be the bridge between the market and the engineering team and thereby ensure continuous brand portfolio maintenance and development.
Since 1986, the company has been the preferred choice for liquid filling for GMP regulated industries (aseptic filling for the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industries).
Watson-Marlow Flexicon’s 70 competent and committed employees in Ringsted strive daily to deliver high-end high-quality solutions to customers all over the world (export share 95%+). The target group is laboratory productions and small to medium-sized batch productions that require flexibility, efficiency and very high precision in a sterile environment.
Watson-Marlow Flexicon offers its customers worldwide a wide range of process solutions from stand-alone devices to manual filling over semi-automatic systems to fully automatic filling and capsulating machines to highly regulated industries where strong documentation and traceability are paramount.
You will be a part of the Product Management team and be responsible for a big part of the Flexicon product range of bio-pharmaceutical filling machines and systems. Based in our facility in Ringsted your role will be to utilize your technical knowledge and commercial skills to be the bridge between the market, customer needs and the engineering team. Your strategic thinking will help you to be the driver for development of the next generation products and new products, which can ensure the further growth of sales of the Fill Finish product range. In a matrix organization you will be part of the product management team within Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS).
As a part of an international organization with more than 2500 employees, you will cooperate with marketing and market intelligence to gather information about markets, and plan effective product launches. Together with customer visits, this will help you gather market knowledge and see new potentials and present these in business cases for the management team. Your primary tasks will be:
We expect you to have some years of experience from product management. Ideally from the pharma or biotechnology industry, but it could also be from another regulated industry like healthcare, cosmetics or food/beverages. You could come with a commercial background and have a good technical understanding, or you could come with a technical education and have good commercial skills.

- Establish and maintain a good knowledge about products, customers, and markets
- Gain knowledge about customer- and market requirements and contribute with market documents
- Visit customers and key persons to have an updated feel for the market
- Develop product strategy and present to the management team
- Define products and project requirements for the products and projects for the New Product Innovation (NPI) organization with Fill Finish experts in Ringsted as key stakeholder
- Continuously make sure that market needs are fulfilled
- Plan and execute product launches
- Follow product life cycles and ensure continued product maintenance and development pipeline
Your background and competences
We expect you to have some years of experience from product management. Ideally from the pharma or biotechnology industry, but it could also be from another regulated industry like healthcare, cosmetics or food/beverages. You could come with a commercial background and have a good technical understanding, or you could come with a technical education and have good commercial skills.
The right candidate for the job is also expected to have:
- Experience in developing business cases
- Good communication skills to be utilized at meetings with C-level colleagues and customers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience in successful product launches
- An ability to see customer and market needs and translate into new business opportunities and products.
