We are looking for an experienced product owner to be part of a join a newly formed team focussed on developing exterior-facing APIs and overall API Channel strategy, taking Maersk.com to the next level of enhanced customer experience.

As a Product Owner for Integrations & API capabilities, you will define and drive the strategy and roadmap for our API tools to integrate Maersk’s systems and into client and third-party systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with other members of the product management team, Engineering, DevOps, business product owners, sales. Learning from and discussions with our potential partners and customers will be an essential part of the role
Develop the API product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Maersk’s API products; communicating both the business value and technical rationale behind your recommendations.
Lead API solution design for customers within logistics and supply chain, making sure we provide standard and reusable solutions among our different regions and sites.
Collaborate with our platforms and product team to help ensure our framework to supports new APIs
Supports business strategy by forming and prioritizing a backlog of features and user stories for our development teams.
Work collaboratively and use best practices with the delivery team to support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and long-term release planning.
Be the subject matter expert for Maersk’s API library and integration capabilities
Educate and facilitate global API capability knowledge cross global business, sales, customer service teams to enable customer pursuit and onboarding via Maersk direct integration solutions
Monitors and improves product health
You are a strategic product owner with the ability to define solutions that go beyond the needs of the last customer you spoke with and can define and prioritize solutions that solve problems for a broad market segment. You are just as comfortable speaking with Engineers as you are in speaking with end-users or participating in sales calls.
Demonstrated expeirence working with developers and partners to define API capabilities and with solutions that require integration with third party and customer systems.
Demonstrated experience in establishing product plans and roadmaps based on prioritization of opportunities, deep understanding of customer needs, and the organization’s ability to execute.
Experience in defining and leading the delivery of an API portfolio that is consumable by both internal and external parties
Solid IT solution background within transportation and logistics industry
Proficient in requirements gathering, business model, scoping and use case creation
Experience with Soap and Rest API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, XML
Strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
BS/BA degree. Major in Computer Science preferred.
Pragmatic Marketing or similar Product Management certification preferred.
Agile SCRUM Product Owner or Scrum Master certification preferred
Good team player and Can-do spirit.
Able and willing to travel based on business requirements, 2-3 weeks per year.
