Maersk’s strategy is to become the global integrator of container logistics, providing end-to-end solutions for our customers. One of the key ways we will achieve this goal is through Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), where our Technology group plays a pivotal role.
Maersk Technology wants to expand our M&A Team to meet the increasing demand. The Technology M&A Portfolio manager is a pivotal role within the Technology M&A Team, reporting into our Head of Technology M&A. The role requires strong leadership skills as well as extensive hands-on practical experience in the management of M&A Projects. The incumbent will be required to lead a team of 6 colleagues responsible to handle several transactions at once across the full M&A life cycle life cycle from due diligence, through post-merger integration, and optimization.

You will work closely with our Technology Platform organization, Corporate Development Teams, Integration Management Offices (IMO), and business stakeholders to gain a full understanding of the vision, scope, synergy targets and benefits; including due diligence, requirements definition, planning, development, testing, training, operational readiness, change management and ongoing support

Responsibilities:
• Accountable for the Technology deliverables from Due Diligence and Post Merger Integration across multiple Acquisitions, Divestments, or Joint Ventures
• Lead a team of 6 colleagues to manage a portfolio of several M&A deals
• Resource determination & allocation to meet program needs
• Ensure high quality of project deliverables through the use of data, analytics, and metrics
• Responsible for keeping C-Suite Technology leadership up to date on progress, delays, milestones, support needs, etc. across the portfolio
• Identifies & builds the Technology resources/capabilities required to maintain pace with Maersk’s M&A appetite
• Play a key role in building a positive and productive relationship with newly acquired Technology teams
• Oversee the transition from post-merger integration to optimization (business as usual)
• Actively support and keep all projects true to the initial deal rationale (reason why Maersk are buying/selling)
• Provide strategic direction and influence on the Tech M&A Team, as well as the broader Technology organisation, ensuring that lessons are learned, and improved ways of working are adopted
• Step in during times of absence/vacation for the Head of Technology M&A

What you bring:
• 5+ years experience as a program leader in Technology M&A
• Practical experience of working in a range of Technology disciplines, e.g. Infrastructure; Software; Service Management; Cyber Security; etc.
• A team player capable of strategic leadership and fast execution
• Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
• An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
• A proven ability to be able to handle large degrees of ambiguity
• Decisiveness in situations of procrastination or urgency
• Professional M&A certification preferred
