As a Learning Experience Designer/Product Owner, you will join our Talent & Development team - a critical part of the People Function driving capability development at the heart of the company strategy. Maersk is leading the industry in an ambitious strategy to decarbonize logistics, with early starts in zero-carbon ship design, biofuels, and a roadmap that will see Maersk carbon-neutral by 2040.
One of the key priorities of the People Function is to build trust and robust partnerships with critical stakeholders, collaborate closely to identify current and future needs, and design effective solutions that enable us to deliver business results and win as a team.
You will lead the design of a special program that will have a measurable impact on the Maersk strategy. By facilitating an accelerated pipeline of people for critically needed roles, you will directly contribute to the speed of Maersk’s transformation. In addition, accelerator programs will provide exciting career options for people to make significant growth – or pivots – in their careers. Our Accelerator programs will have two forms: Upskilling – where we help a professional increase expertise in his/her current career track, and Reskilling: where we facilitate a process of moving from one track to another building on more general business and personal skills.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include the following, amongst others:
- Lead the creation of accelerator program(s) using scalable, effective learning, community-building, and partnerships. We are considering pilot programs in the areas of Warehouse Management, Decarbonization, Port-Terminal Leadership, Logistics Program Management, and other areas.
- Wherever possible, leverage enterprise tools, licenses, platforms, preferred suppliers, measurement methodologies, and standards in the development of solutions.
- Ensure excellent communication, teamwork, and alignment with key stakeholders, and acting as a trusted partner.
- Spar actively with team members and stakeholders to define and translate business requirements into actions, and ensure design, development and implementation of effective, learning solutions that embed required changes and capabilities and deliver on business results.
- Work closely with colleagues in the People Partnering Organization (PPO) representing the delivery team for many L&D initiatives – starting with the design of solutions, the ongoing monitoring of how the solution is working in practice.
- Drive clear measurement, value realization and optimization of learning solutions, continuously monitoring progress and tracking benefit realization and delivery of intended results. Proactively pull and evaluate input from the organization and stakeholders to achieve end-to-end benefits and optimization.
- Keep up to date on relevant trends and innovations, to continue to push how we design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development solutions.
We are looking for

You have proven experience with the following:
- Good to have experience driving improvement and change in a complex, highly matrixed organization at a global or regional scope. Direct experience with design, development, implementation and/or evaluation of learning and development solutions in a large enterprise is a must.
- Experience in developing L&D solutions for functional skill domains - you should have experience quickly familiarizing yourself with a functional area and becoming comfortable navigating conversations around the development of performance-enabling solutions.
- Knowledge of the possibilities afforded through technology tools used in creating learning programs and pathways – including the platforms that house and deploy those tools. Familiarity with working with Cornerstone, Workday, and Skillsoft is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile environment with capability to understand the business, think innovatively, defend features and prioritization, write user stories and drive roadmaps and timelines
- A high drive, taking ownership and accountability and with a proven track record of making quality deliverables – on time, within budget and with clear business impact
- A strategic mind-set, adept at identifying holistic and effective solutions and translating high-level concepts into tangible deliverables
- Good to have experience researching, selecting, onboarding, and managing global external vendors in the L&D space – as well as managing multiple budgets.
- An inspirational leader, able to command a room, deliver a compelling vision and lead diverse and potentially challenging stakeholders and colleagues through ambiguity, change and discovery
- Exceptional ability to ask the right questions, with a high curiosity and open-mindedness and ability to challenge constructively and enable effective problem-solving
- Good structure, with ability to set direction and lead across a wide variety of initiatives and programs at various levels of development and optimization
- A passion for learning, development and coaching, and being inspired by supporting others to achieve personal growth and high performance
