As the Functional Product Owner (FPO), you will drive the design and adoption of transformation projects and own the end-to-end process landscape at Maersk to ensure simplification, standardization, automation, embedded control measures and operational measurements.
The FPO and the Process Excellence teams are key to the transformation design of the processes within the ATR domain and related upstream/downstream processes and technology changes. The role requires a deep knowledge of the ATR end-to-end processes and solutions and robust engagement in form of project and change management skills along with strong interpersonal skills to cater cross functional stakeholder discussion and decision driving attitude. The role further requires strong process knowledge and E2E SAP experience along with techno-functional look out on process and systems with ability to work with business requirements translated / converted into IT solution / setup.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Re-Engineering / Business Process Improvement
- Strong focus around challenging the status quo within the business processes, financial reporting, and SAP framework
- Provide holistic solutions that involves working with upgraded IT environment (S4 HANA, SAP ECC), legacy systems as well as new technology adoption
- Advise innovative solutions for data flows from one system to another with a desire to understand the process, systems (legacy, ERP’s, and latest tech)
- Drive business process improvements within ATR or other verticals to ensure ATR functioning can be made effective with a sound understanding on E2E SAP solutions & enhancements
- Identify and gain expertise on new technologies that can cater to further improvement of ATR processes by improving system functionalities
- Work independently with Project delivery teams in providing business requirement, review solution design, techno-functional configuration inputs and utilize project management skills to implement the agreed solution as per the project timelines.
- Improve the financial and management reporting for an effective management review and financial close (Knowledge of reporting technologies (SAC) will be an added advantage)
- Contribute, review in designing the critical access roles and approve where needed
Communication and Change Management
- Engage with senior stakeholders within the organization and establish effective communications and change management
- Independently drive changes to key business technical solutions, SAP or other projects involving bringing in bolts-ons or work with upstream process to evaluate the best process flow between applications in both upstream/downstream process changes to minimize inefficiencies in ATR processes
Drive simplification, standardization, automation, compliance, and adherence to controls
- Develop and update Global Process Landscape & Standard Operating Procedures which act as significant source of guidance for ATR
- Communicate with the organization emphasizing the drive for standardization & adherence to set controls
- Critically review and assess the potential solutions against the business requirements, providing best in class IT solutions at E2E scale
- Evaluate the processes on E2E scale & work towards optimal standard solutions leading to automated efficient processes.
We are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Qualified Chartered Accountant, CPA, ACCA or MBA from premiere institute will be an added advantage
- Minimum 15 years’ experience with large, global, multinational organizations
- Understanding and experience in Finance system implementation projects, hands on experiences on technologies like SAP S4 HANA, RAR, FICA, SAC etc. is mandatory
- Strong understanding of finance and business drivers – preferably in Shipping, Logistics and supply or related industry
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant work-experience leading projects
- Strong project management skills
- M.S. Office skills, including XLS and MS Project skill are preferred
- Knowledge of Leading IT solutions such as Blackline, Onestream, and Business warehouse is preferred
- Proven record in building solid relationships and stakeholder networks
- A team player who is also able to work independently, collaborating across
- Strong organizational & follow-up skills including attention to detail & ability to multi-task
- Results/deadline-oriented, analytical, and innovative
- Has the ability to manage and lead change – understand concepts of change management with demonstrated capabilities
- Able to consistently demonstrate and live cultural dimensions of Simplicity, Focus & Teamwork
