Release manager for our Group ERP system
Do you want to help with the change- and release planning of our ERP system, which is crucial to our colleagues in Finance, HR and Procurement? Then this role is for you.
DFDS is in the process of digitizing our back office. The largest project in this process is the implementation of a new ERP system for Group Finance, HR and Procurement. We are in the early phase of implementing Microsoft Dynamics including D365FO, Human Resource and multiple ISVs replacing our current finance system Visma amongst other back office systems and 70+ integrations in a web of external and internal built systems.
The position as Release manager is broad and will include different responsibilities over the coming years as the project goes through implementation to a fully implemented system in operation. You will be part of a team of skilled IT experts, who have years of experience in developing, supporting and maintaining D365 and our current Finance systems, including Visma and CapNordic.
Main responsibilities
You will play a key role in defining how we support and maintain our ERP system landscape including D365 and surrounding ISVs. This will include definition, alignment and implementation of application management processes, such as release processes.
Together with our Test manager and the other members of our Digital Back Office Team, you will ensure that we have a common and smooth test- and release process, which ensures a stable system for our 4000+ end users.
This will include cooperation with our AMS partner and other internal and external stakeholders developing and maintaining the solution with us.
You will also help build up D365FO competencies in the team and ensure the transition from project to product.
The Digital Back Office Team
The Digital Back Office team is part of the Core Enablers Tribe in our Technology & Innovation Division. The team consists of 5 full time employees but will grow with the need for D365 knowledge in house. We support and maintain DFDS’ Finance systems and the Sertica maintenance and procurement system incl. other finance and procurement systems.
Preferred professional candidate profile
The ideal candidate has experience in application management including release management, preferably within MS D365. You have experience with implementing an ERP system in a large organization.

- You are an experienced release manager within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and/or AX. Preferably also within Azure
- You could have D365FO / AX certifications
- You have experience with LCS and cloud management
- You possess a good understanding of finance, HR and procurement processes
- You have experience working with functional teams in support of business requirements
- You are a strong communicator in English and can ensure written and oral clarity
Preferred personal candidate profile
- You have a technical mindset and can navigate in a complex landscape of finance systems and integrations
- You can navigate in an environment with many stakeholders
- You know how to organize yourself and work systematically
- You are a social person, who engage with colleagues, customers and partners
