Who are we?
Connected Cars is working on an ambitious project to connect 1,000,000+ car-users with their vehicles and retrieve the real-time data that is available from every modern car. Currently, we have 100,000+ users of both private and commercial vehicles connected in 5 countries and we are growing rapidly. Our team consists of 50+ people from many different backgrounds and cultures. All teams (i.e. product, tech, support etc.) are co-located and we own the entire tech-stack end-to-end making it easier to make changes.
You will be working in one of our cross-functional product teams focusing mainly on our workshop web app where you will empower the workshop staff to deliver a proactive, convenient and relevant customer experience for their customers - all based on real time data from cars. Together with your team you will craft success criteria, capture insight from customers, and continuously iterate until we get it right.
What you’ll be doing
As a designer on our product team, you will be responsible for creating delightful user experiences and discuss solutions with your team. Your responsibility will be making sure that we design and deliver usefull products and features that are feasible and hits the mark commercially. Specifically your job will consist of:
- Defining the problem to solve as a part of the team with input from sales, support, end-users, engineers, data science and more
- Co-creating the solution and action plan with the team
- Creating wireframes/low fidelity mock ups that you can test with users and stakeholders
- Working closely with engineers to create high-fidelity designs and interactions as well as follow through in implementation
Who you are
- You have shipped and matured 1-3 products in a B2C or B2B technology company (we think this equals at least 2 years of practical experience)
- You are a visual thinker that cares about the aesthetics but are well aware of having to validate your assumptions with real users
- You navigate with ease between understanding the customer needs and pains, converting them into concepts and further maturing them into beautiful designs
- You are self-driven by nature that takes responsibility for delivering within your team and aligning with stakeholders.
- You thrive by working in a team and succeeding together
- You love Figma and creating useful components
We will geek out if you possess one of the following qualities:
- Have a keen interest in current design and communication trends
- Basic understanding of coding (HTML, CSS, React)
- Basic experience with transitions and motion design
