You will be responsible for driving this continued success of by analyzing markets, understanding customer needs, and making cool new products. You will be working closely with our colleagues across the organization in R&D, Marketing, Sales, Regulatory Affairs and Customer Care.

The position
You will set the vision, define the roadmap, and drive adoption.
In your role, you will focus on understanding the needs of the dental lab that want to take full advantage of digital aids. You will turn this understanding into user stories and development tasks for our engineering teams and ensure delivery through close communication and dialogue with hardware and software developers, architects, and project managers. Further, you will play a key role in driving the adoption of newly developed products and features.
Your role

- Be responsible for the entire scanning experience as the product manager responsible for the lab scanner hardware and the software that you use to operate them with.
- Explore customer needs, analyze markets and competition to define product visions.
- Define the product strategy for lab scanners and the accompanying software.
- Define the product roadmaps and requirements for the entire portfolio of lab scanners and scanning software.
- Drive the development of new features and functionalities in close collaboration with R&D.
- Build relationships and work with key opinion leaders, universities, end-user, and partners across the world.
- Support product launch activities in close cooperation with our marketing, sales, supply chain, and country organizations.
- Manage the product lifecycle together with the Lifecycle and Quality team.
- Travel frequently to end-users, exhibitions, and conferences (around 20-30 days of travel per year primarily in Europe and the US).
The key for success in this role is effective cooperation with stakeholders ranging from end-users, resellers, partners, sales, marketing, other 3Shape engineering teams, and executive management.
Qualifications
- A background in science, engineering, or technology at an MSc level and with at least 5 years of work experience with product management.
- Understanding and preferably experience of both hardware and software.
- Flair for technology, user interface design, and the ability to translate customer and market needs into successful products.
- An open and curious mind looking to explore a rapidly changing industry.
- Ability to work in a complex business environment and maintain the interests, goals, and priorities of many stakeholders.
- Strong communicator that can identify important elements in complex issues and present them effectively using written, verbal, and visual communication.
- Highly self-motivated and able to build strong relationships with customers and partners.
- A great team player who is energized by interacting and collaborating cross-functionally with many different personalities and backgrounds.
- Knowledge about dental products or markets will be an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional major languages will be considered a plus.
