This provides patients worldwide with an improved customer experience, while giving dentists a wider range of treatment options, increasing efficiency, and allowing our customers to treat more patients.As a scanner developer in R&D, you will develop software for 3Shape’s top of the range scanners. You will be part of an innovative and agile team that works in a stimulating environment. As people we are social, open-minded and have an exceptionally good team spirit. Among the team’s responsibilities are software for 3D scanners and you will work with low-level scanning algorithms that transform streams of images to digital 3D patient models providing you with an in-depth understanding of the intraoral scanner.Your job
  • Develop mathematical models of optical sensor systems
  • Design new algorithms or optimize existing algorithms for our intraoral scanners
  • Analyze scanner calibration ensuring the accuracy and precision
  • Together with optical, electrical and software engineers design low-level scanner communication and other features
  • Devise strategies for in-production testing of high-tech imaging hardware
  • Contribute to a fun and professional work environment within the team and in the 3Shape family

We simply think and work in an agile way.Together with your team you will use modern tools and technologies like C++17 (and onwards), C#, Python, Git etc.Our vision of the candidate
  • Developer with a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in physics, computer science, applied mathematics, electronics engineering or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience within physical and mathematical modelling and optimization
  • Programming skills in one or more object-oriented languages (we use C++, C# and Delphi)
  • Mindset for quality, flexibility, and for seeing priorities from a user perspective
    • It will be an advantage if you have experience with
  • Low-level or embedded device control software
  • AI or deep learning development
  • Software development within a medical context
