Harboes Brewery is looking for a new colleague to the product development team.
Harboes Brewery A/S is a Danish company with a strong international platform. The company dates back to 1883 and the operations are still run by the family. We offer a wide range of malt-based ingredients, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, distributed to global markets via our network of importers and agents.
Today, we are a key international beer and beverage manufacturer with production facilities in 2 countries, which exports to more than 90 countries worldwide.
Product development collaborates with a lot of people both internally and externally. The work in product development is a mixture of different projects in close cooperation with customers, suppliers, universities, and internal departments. More specifically, the majority of the tasks consist of:
The position is situated in the headquarters of Harboes Brewery in Skælskør, Denmark, approximately 100 km from Copenhagen.
Persistent and creative
Candidate must have experience with product development within the field of food and beverage industry, preferably with knowledge in:
The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years relevant experience and hold a Masters degree within Dairy Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology or Food Science and Technology. It is important to be able to speak and write in English. Danish skills would be advantageous but is not required.
We are looking for a person who is open, curious, and creative, yet systematic with high awareness to details. A good communicator, who thrives in complexity and interaction with different stakeholders across the organisation and outside, at the same time rests calmly in working independently. A person who takes responsibility seriously, who is action oriented with strong internal values.
Recruitment process is ongoing and successful candidate would be required to start in the position as soon as possible.

- Running project management for new product development and optimization projects for beverages
- Development work as trials and analysis, including optimization of processes for beverages
- Pilot/full-scale experiments in production for beverages
- Collection of literature and preparation of material for presentations
- Project coordination (internal/external)
- Finding potential suppliers for raw materials and equipment
- Quality assessment of all new products and processes
- Documentation of project data electronically
- Part of the sustainability team
The position is situated in the headquarters of Harboes Brewery in Skælskør, Denmark, approximately 100 km from Copenhagen.

- Biochemistry and unit operations within brewery, fermentation and downstream processing (filtration, separation and concentration, etc)
- Beverage industry and unit operations within soft drink production
- Analytical methods, especially HPLC
- Project management and project portfolio management
