Become a part of Technical Product Management in the Water division
Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart metering solutions with headquarters in Stilling south of Aarhus. Our ambition is to turn meter data into insight to help utility companies optimise their production and distribution of energy and water and was in 2022 awarded with the innovation prize by Dansk Industri (DI). Kamstrup’s water business is undergoing rapid development, which means that the requirements and demands for our smart solutions targeting the water industry are growing. Therefore, we are extending out team with a position as Product Specialist.
With direct reference to the Team Lead of Technical Product Management, you will become a part of our Product Management organization with the main focus on water meters. You will enter an experienced team of 10 colleagues, who handles development projects, product approvals, external documentation, and customer dialogues. We collaborate to secure the foundation of our existing products as well as making sure our new products live up to customer expectations. In the department we value collaboration in- and outside of the team, knowledge sharing and finding the balance between technical requirements and the commercial aspects of our products.
A job with focus on product development and optimisation
In position as Product Specialist your primary tasks will be to contribute to product development and optimisation while securing that legal requirements are met for relevant markets. You will have a broad contact base throughout the organisation and act as the go-to person in connection with all possible questions from customers, salespeople, developers, and other stakeholders relating to water meters. As you participate in the development from idea to implementation, you have the best knowledge of any new functions, and it will thus be part of your job to train salespeople, supporters, and partners. Thus, you also play an important role in ensuring the understanding of and insight into the value creation of new functions and products.
More specifically, your tasks will be:
• Technical training and support of customers, salespeople, developers, and other stakeholders
• Support product certification and approvals
• Product Lifecycle Management in cooperation with Product Managers
• Participation in relevant development projects
• Creating and maintaining the technical documentation package in cooperation with Technical Assistants
In the job, you can expect 10-15 travel days per year.
Personality matters
We are looking for a person, who is enthusiastic about the field between technical solutions and commercial value. You either have a short technical education or a technical background as an Engineer, Marine Engineer, Global Business Engineer or similar. Whether you have some years of experience or newly graduated is not crucial, as the most important is your attitude and drive to acquaint yourself with complex technical solutions and how they can add value to our customers.
As a person you are accommodating, hard-working and will proactively handle the daily challenges. In addition, you are impactful and can build unities around common goals. You have a structured and detail-oriented approach to your tasks, where it comes naturally to you to work on the basis of deadlines. Finally, you have strong communicative skills that enable you to interact and build relations on all organisational levels, both within and outside of Kamstrup.
The job requires fluency in written and spoken Danish and English. German is an advantage.
