Electronics Category Manager - Global Procurement
Would you like to develop your procurement skills in a world class, global supply chain organization, having sourcing responsibility for multiple brands within the Demant group? Do you also have an interest in technology and an eagerness to learn? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
You will be key part of Global Procurement, which currently consists of 8 Category Managers. We will give you the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping strategies related to further developing and optimizing our electronics and global supply chain - dealing with stakeholders throughout our R&D, Operations and New Product Introduction (NPI) functions at our various sites worldwide. Your professional development is important for us, and you will find opportunities to continuously grow and develop your skillset in the Global Supply Chain Organization at Demant.

You will be given the opportunity to work independently, driving all elements of strategy and implementation within your Category. Furthermore, you will have close cooperation with a professional and highly motivated team of Category Managers within the direct spend – all aiming for the same goal of creating valuable results.
Your role as Electronics Category Manager
Joining us, you will be working closely with our R&D, NPI, Operational Purchasing, Supplier Quality Management, and Product Support functions, together with our strategic product supply base. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Category Management, by setting Demant’s supplier base strategic direction and overseeing its deployment, across challenging and performance critical component areas of our industry leading Hearing Aid and Accessory products
- Contract management and negotiation
- Management and implementation of supplier-based innovation and developments to meet Demant’s ever increasing product performance challenges
- Change management and implementation throughout the Demant organization, regarding supply chain innovation
- Category and supply chain optimization, in support of delivering the Demant group vision, strategy, and targets
An interest in technology combined with and eagerness to learn
Naturally, you have a strong desire and proven ability to deliver target results, in an electronics category management environment. Furthermore, it is important that you have an interest in technology and an eagerness to learn and operate in a dynamic environment. If this is the case, you will definitely succeed in the role.
You may hold a relevant master or bachelor’s degree, with a commercial focus, but more importantly we look for passion for sourcing and procurement in a global context. Most likely, you have worked within category management, sourcing, or management consulting for years.
As you will be engaging with different management levels both within the Demant organisation and at senior levels within our supplier base, you bring excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
As a person you create trust, have an innovative mind set with a can-do attitude and then you are of course a team player.
Finally, you should expect 30-40 travel days per year, with the majority of our strategic suppliers are located in Asia, Americas and across continental Europe.
