At Ferrosan, we are looking for a Category Manager to ensure collaboration and oversee our CMO partners in a way that secures the usual high-quality standards for our products.
Join our Supply Chain Management team
We develop and manufacture a portfolio of haemostatic products to minimize bleeding challenges in surgeries. Our products are registered as medical devices and sold internationally to more than 100 countries. All main functions in the company, including our production facilities, are based in Soeborg, Denmark, so everyone sits door to door with easy access to each other.
You will be joining our Supply Chain Management team, consisting of 15 engaged colleagues, who participate in planning, purchasing and sourcing materials and goods for the ongoing business and our projects. SCM’s role is to ensure a stable and sustainable upstream flow to ensure stable production and deliveries to our customers. As a team, we work with and have the responsibility within the entire supply chain.
Ensure and optimize collaboration and stable CMO performance
When our products need to be sterilized and/or packed, we use external partners. To ensure that they fulfill the high quality and standards we are known for, we have created this role, in which your most important task will be to collaborate closely with these external partners. By learning about and understanding their ways of operating, you can collaborate with our partners and monitor their processes, ensuring that these are up to par, as well as assist in identifying any potential optimizing opportunities.
Some of your closest colleagues will be our engineers and our quality department, who also works closely with our CMOs. You will be our supplier relationship expert on CMO matters, while they will handle the technical and quality aspects of the process.
More specifically, you will:
• Lead and execute Category Strategy
• Optimize processes and systems related to our CMOs
• Lead CMO negotiations and the contract management process
• Facilitate our daily CMO operations with existing products as well as contribute to our development projects and initiatives across the organization
• Lead supplier collaboration to ensure capacity, stable deliveries, optimization and minimize risk
• Support and sparring with planners and QC/QA
• Travel 10-20 days a year to visit CMOs in e.g. the United Kingdom, Poland and the Netherlands
You have good communication skills and commercial knowledge of external operations
You have great practical experience in working with external partners – whether it be within medical supplies, utensils or at a supplier. In other words, we are open to various backgrounds. Most important is, that your professional background makes you qualified to and comfortable setting a direction for the future of our sterilization processes and our CMOs.
Becoming responsible for many aspects of our collaboration with our external partners and their processes, you will need great communication skills and the ability to present complex results to internal and external stakeholders with different levels of technical understanding.
Overall, we imagine that you:
• Can maintain and expand an external network, and have good skills in cooperation - both internal and external
• Probably have a relevant graduate level education, perhaps within engineering, economy or Supply Chain supported with 5 years of experience within Supply Chain Management likely within the medical device industry or pharmaceutical industry – but like we stated, we are open to other entries
• Can speak and write English and Danish at a corporate level
• Have great teamworking skills and responsible for the driven own tasks
