Your role - Securing ideal Sourcing
As a Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to our transformational journey maturing the Indirect Procurement function and its impact across the organization.
Your role will be to take full responsibility for the equipment category. This implies developing a category strategy and driving sourcing excellence with the approved suppliers to ensure our future growth and success.
Tasks:
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the category strategy, including e.g., assortment, cost, and market situation.
• Identify opportunities and analyze market trends, supplier behavior, and competitor activity to ensure optimal positioning of the category.
• Development and follow-up on suppliers and partners, including supplier negotiations and contract conditions.
• Responsible for the budget and financial results of the category.
• Active participation in interdisciplinary teams, that embody development, quality, and operations.
You possess solid collaboration skills and supplier knowledge
As you will be working with an array of different functions within Ferrosan Medical Devices and external partners, it is important that you possess an excellent business partner mind-set.
You must be able to work in a structured and analytical manner and you will also be assigned to tasks that require you to work on your own without detailed instruction – which is why your ability to take initiative is a key trait in your professional toolbox.
Being responsible for many aspects regarding our suppliers and partners also require that you can present complex results to stakeholders with different levels of understanding.
Furthermore, you have:
• Relevant education (e.g., engineer) at bachelor's level or higher education.
• Solid experience with equipment from category or product management.
• Experience with negotiations and contracts.
• Good business understanding and knowledge of financial management.
• Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to see connections and solutions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
• Preferable Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge/experience.

New ideas are developed and matured from the first thought to the finished implementation in production. Overall, we manage the business with an uncompromising focus on quality based on current GMP requirements.
