We are looking for an experienced and strategic minded profile to establish and head up our new unit for CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control) Project & Portfolio Excellence. The Position You will report to the CVP of CMC Portfolio Management (PM) and be part of the CMC PM leadership team. The position is newly established, and you will have the opportunity to impact and develop the role together with your leader and the rest of the leadership team. The position is based in Denmark and requires relocation. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the project and portfolio management methodology, ensuring adherence to standards, providing guidance, and training, and developing tools and templates. Also, you will be driving change management assignments within CMC PM aimed at enhancing project management processes and mentoring the organisation for effective portfolio execution. You will collaborate with other drug development portfolio management offices across the Novo Nordisk organisation. A major part of our deliverables is anchored at executive level, which requires the ability to challenge and collaborate across professional disciplines and functional areas, while also providing a high level of visibility, accountability and hands on interaction throughout the value chain. Key responsibilities include: Implementing and continuous improving project management processes and tools ensuring project delivery and identifying potential bottlenecks and mitigations. Implementing state of the art portfolio management principles such as streamlined reporting, risk management and enterprise portfolio management system (pWr). Providing insightful portfolio analysis and understanding of the development project pipeline towards senior management and governance. Managing change with various stakeholders, ensuring buy-in, commitment, and training to facilitate successful transformation. Qualification The ideal candidate will have a balanced profile of scientific and strategic competences combined with strong execution skills and change management experience, navigating in a complex environment and driving impactful initiatives forward. To be successful in this role, you should have: A master’s degree within a relevant field of expertise such as science, engineering, business. 5 or more years of experience working in the pharma, biotech or similar preferably with roles in various areas of the value chain. Experience in portfolio and project management frameworks, processes, and tools. Excellent presentation skills, capable of structuring material to enable efficient reporting and decision-making, while also tailoring the level of communication across stakeholders. Full proficiency in both written and spoken English and preferably, experience with people leadership. About the CVP area CMC Portfolio Management is part of CMC Development & Scaling. CMC is the link between research and production supplying products needed for all of Novo Nordisk’s clinical trials around the world. We develop, manufacture, and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and develop commercial manufacturing processes and technologies with consistent scientific documentation for drug approval. In CMC Portfolio Management, we are responsible for all CMC development projects. All the way from lead drug candidate selection, throughout phase 1, 2 and 3 clinical development, project transfer to commercial manufacturing, regulatory submission and approval. The area is the link between CMC and stakeholders across Novo Nordisk, but also to relevant external partners such e.g. Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs).
