Sales & Operations Manager in global manufacturing company

Our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) department has the global responsibility for long term demand, supply and S&OP planning in Nilfisk. We’re on a journey to transform S&OP into a truly cross-functional decision-making process in Nilfisk, balancing supply and demand, providing Nilfisk with ONE reliable plan to execute on across the organisation.

As our new Sales & Operations Manager, you will report to the Director of Forecasting and S&OP, Morten Munck,. and you will be based in the HQ in Broendby.

Furthermore, you will drive our demand and supply planning process within the EMEA region. The primary task is to ensure the execution of the commercial side of Nilfisk’s S&OP process in close collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, while creating a sustainable supply plan to meet the expectations.

Your role will also consist of contributing with decision proposals, analysis, and development of scenarios to be presented at the monthly Executive S&OP meeting with participation of Nilfisk CEO and Nilfisk Leadership Team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and review demand plans with country and regional stakeholders.
  • Ability to create multiple demand and supply scenarios that impact the business needs/expectations.
  • Communicate supply constraints in an effective way, increasing sales awareness of the capabilities of Operations & Services, enabling demand shaping activities.
  • Develop and review supply plans with factories and regional stakeholders.
  • Identification of gaps and investment requirements to deliver on demand expectations.
  • Assess supply risk and mitigating actions, to enable future supply.
  • Ad hoc supply chain analysis and development of scenarios to be evaluated at the Pre- and Executive S&OP meeting with participation CEO and the Nilfisk Leadership Team.

You will play an important role in our team and in Nilfisk, to continuously develop and enhance the way we work, getting us closer to our ambition of a truly excellent customer-driven supply chain.

We are a team of 9 supply chain professionals based in DK and USA. A recent graduate or a Supply Chain Professional

You are a recent graduate or have several years of experience within Supply Chain and hold a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management, Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering or equivalent.

Further it is an advantage if you:

  • Have insights in performance management tools and operational KPI’s
  • Are a skilled user of ERP systems, preferably SAP APO and R/3 (ECC) or SAP IBP
  • Are skilled in use of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Have great interpersonal skills – being a team player and strong in stakeholder management
  • Can plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Can interact with all functional areas and all organizational levels
  • Are ambitious and willing to learn and grow rapidly!
