We are looking for a self-starting team player to take up the role as Head of Sales Target Setting. In this role, you will get the opportunity to impact our business and strategic direction by playing a main role in the way we set and follow-up on sales targets for our global salesforce.

You will have a unique opportunity to work in a truly global organization with significant autonomy to drive and develop the sales target setting process and outcomes in close collaboration with key business stakeholders from a range of different departments and geographies.
You will be part of a diverse Sales Operations team in the Maersk Headquarter and you will be working closely with Sales Operations Managers and Finance Business Partners across the globe and have indirect influence on our 2500 sales resources in Maersk.
In the role as Head of Sales Target Setting, you will be responsible for defining and executing our sales target setting process and support local Sales Managers in driving business performance based on well-established and widely adopted sales targets. You will play a key role in ensuring alignment between the overall Ocean & Logistics target setting process, the sales target cascade and the SIP (sales incentive) target setting. As the role is newly established, it is expected that you will build the role in close collaboration with key stakeholders from Commercial Business Finance and Global Vertical Heads. In this role, you will have an impact on sales productivity as well as sales engagement and motivation by ensuring a transparent and collaborative target setting process.

You are responsible for shaping and improving the target setting process which starts with the company vision and extends to the frontline teams. You are also accountable for ensuring a robust planning of the contracting season and continuously plan ahead to ensure a sound and transparent target setting process in line with our company strategy
Other key tasks:
• Responsibility for all communication regarding the target setting process to the global teams.
• Support frontline sales colleagues in expanding business with the customer base through realistic, yet ambitious target setting.
• Ensure that the Sales community is engaged, trained, and aligned on every aspects of the target setting through regular coaching and communication.
• Coordination with stakeholders within the Maersk Group to stay on top of new initiatives, products and services that could influence the target setting process and sales targets as a whole.
• Coordination with our Global Service Centre (GSC) team, Global Commercial Business Finance and Global Vertical Heads to find ways for optimizing the target setting process. Work on making the target setting process standardised, automated and digitised as well as seamlessly linked to other core processes (e.g. the global Sales Incentive Program (SIP)).
• Partner and collaborate with Sales Managers and Area Leaders to drive aligned target setting.
• Act as change agent for organisational, business and process transformation.

The ideal candidate has a BSc/BA in business administration, sales, business analytics or similar. You are a team player who thrive when working with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams. You are also a self-starter and capable of working independently.
You:
• Have 5-10 years of experience from a multinational enterprise, preferably within the transportation and/or logistics industry.
• Proven ability to work as a change agent and challenge the status quo.
• Agility and ability to manage and thrive in ambiguous situations and in a matrix organization.
• Structured approach to work and ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently. Passion for process optimization and a continuous improvement mindset is an advantage.
• Ability to influence without authority in a global organization. Strong interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels.
• You are forward-thinking, creative, and energetic, capable of getting stakeholder buy-in and alignment to standard processes and best practice.
• Have strong communication and presentation skills. You should be comfortable sharing your insights with senior executives and demonstrate the ability to not only diagnose problems but implement solutions as well.
