To support front office sales and customers Cimbria is looking for an additional Pre-Sales Engineer to join the cross regional team. You will be part of a team of 8-12 people, working with project and equipment quotations. In addition, you will work closely together with the rest of the Pre-Sales team, supporting the sales team. Collaboration in a multicultural environment
You will be responsible for preparing quotations, in collaboration with Sales Managers, preparing price calculations including tech specifications, and finally obtain price quotes and technical solutions from subcontractors.

Your primary tasks are:

  • Prepare preliminary time schedules
  • Clarify technical details and specifications for orders
  • Contact with vendors and dealers domestic and abroad
  • Assist other departments at peak times
  • Ensure that the front office sales is able to deliver commitments towards customers in terms of delivering quotes, flow drawings, technical specifications
  • Dialog and communication, with front office sales and suppliers, in an open work environment
  • Give input on how to improve the workflow in the Pre-Sales organization
  • Assist with coaching and development of pre-sales teams, across clusters
  • Support change, within guarding rails of the global G & P Transformation Program

To be successful in this role you need to demonstrate the ability to work independently and navigate in an international environment as well as collaborate with stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds. Finally, you have to show that you know where to acquire knowledge and insights.

Process knowledge either through education or experience
Your background and previous experience can vary, important is that you are able to adapt quickly to new work processes and systems. You have obtained process knowledge either through education or experience on the floor as a blacksmith, fitter, or similar. Your background has provided you with experience with major projects as well as quotation tools, and you are familiar with preparing quotations and fully understand sales processes combined with technically good understanding.

As a person you have a flair for numbers and calculations and in-depth process understanding. You constantly strive for high quality and thrive in a changing work environment balancing between short as well as long-term goals. You communicate fluently in English, and it would be an advantage if you speak German or another third language. Your colleagues see you as an extrovert and outgoing person with the ability to build personal relations, also via mail and phone, as part of the sales force is located remote. You work in a structured manner with attention to details, are capable of coordinating own work tasks, and thrives in a changing and challenging work process. Furthermore, you understand to balance quality solutions with pragmatism.
