Reporting to the Managing director for the Americas, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will partner with an existing sales and service team to develop and implement our client’s strategy for the poultry and pig production markets in Latin America. The RSM will lead the sales team to exceed sales, margin and key plan initiative targets as well as manage the sales expense budget to plan. Additionally, the RSM will develop and strengthen relationships with key customers and distributors, implement SKOV’s distributor program and negotiate with key decision makers on projects. The RSM will also develop and implement a regional sales and marketing plan to include industry exhibitions and seminars as needed.

Besides this, the primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the project management team to ensure that climate solutions are aligned with market requirements and customer needs. The RSM will work to negotiate and build consensus with key decision makers and stakeholders on projects.
  • Keeping up to date on market developments & trends to identify sales opportunities and product needs.
  • Developing and implementing the sales and marketing plan for the region to include attendance and participation in industry trade shows, forums and seminars as needed.

Knowledge, skills, experience and competencies include:

  • Qualified candidates will have exceptional interpersonal and communications skills to build B2B relationships, establish credibility through competence and drive conversations as a trusted partner.
  • Personal and interpersonal skills must include but not be limited to, relationship building, integrity and trust, listening, humor, ethics and values.
  • The successful hire will be naturally inquisitive. He/she will possess the ability to interpret business intelligence, stakeholder personalities and preferences with an instinctual ability to put the right people together to meet client needs and accomplish business objectives.
  • Must have a collaborative nature with both internal and external stakeholders to include communicating across diverse cultures and inspiring trust at all levels.
  • Must read, write and speak English and Spanish effortlessly, additional fluency in Portuguese is a plus.
  • Ten years of sales experience within the poultry or pig climate controls industry and/or broader agricultural equipment sector with at least 3+ years’ experience managing a sales team.
  • Relevant business or technical degree is required.

The selected hire will work and travel from a home office near a major airport in Mexico, the USA or in another Latin American country. Candidates residing in Mexico will be preferred due to proximity to the customer.

The position will require approximately 60% travel throughout North and South America.
