As a Devops Engineer you will be a key driver in building products that will enable our customers to realize their dreams.
Job description
As a Devops engineer you are part of the group that supports 2 scrum teams to perform. You manage our repositories and code bases. You build and maintain scripts that automate the creation of our infrastructure and the deployment of our software from the dev, test, pre-prod and prod environments. Making sure our automation test run and that builds are halted when these tests fail. You configure and maintain our monitoring solutions making sure that we are the first to know when our systems slow down or are break down.
You are part of our platform Devops community. Here we maintain and discuss the Devops policies for the platform. We discuss new technologies and industry best practices. It is a place where you learn from your peers and contribute to the platform with your improvement ideas and experience. You are responsible for delivering tasks related to platform-level goals (like disaster recovery and terraform modules maintenance).
Learning and Growth is part of who we are. There is dedicated time in the week for learning activities. Within Maersk there are a lot of learning resources available that you can use to grow your skills. We promote and support you in getting certified in the technologies we use. Also, you promote the learning for others. As our Devops engineer you help our developers grow into more T-shaped engineers by training them in the basics of Devops operations so that they can do most of the Devops execution activities autonomously and you can focus on the challenging parts.
Experience & skills we are looking for:
1. Azure experience (Platform As A Service - PAAS offering of Azure - appservices, postgress, SQL dB’s eventing through eventhub servicebus, containerization (docker) along with Azure Kubernetics (K8s) Services – AKS experience)
2. Building CICD Pipeline experience using ADO or Github actions for deployments, quality gates - units test , API test , UI test, integrate performance tests and code scanning tests into the pipeline, SAST/DAST tools. Building resuable yaml based templates/actions for pipelines.
3. Organisation management in ADO and Github
4. IaC experience using Terraform, ARM templates
5. Alerting and Monitoring setup using Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana.
6. Experience with Zero Down Time deployments and Disastor Recovery
7. Scripting language (python, powershell, shellscript)
8. Knowledge on code building for dotnet, java and NodeJS
9. Experience on managing microservice architecture, repositories and infrastructure
10. Ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks between platform-level goals and your SCRUM team.
11. Ability to share DevOps principles across your SCRUM team
12. Good English verbal and written communication is a must
