Can you build and run a new best-in-class set up for management of IT contracts?
If some of your favourite words are terms like contract life cycle management, RfI/RfQ and RfP, you might have the perfect foundation for this position. In Milestone we spend +10% of our revenue on IT cost across consultancy agreements, service contracts, licenses and hardware. Until now, our primary focus has been on growth in order to cement our position as the world’s leading provider of IP-based video management solutions. Now, we want to further professionalise our contract management, and that is where you enter the scene with all of your commercial acumen and 360-degree contract management experience.
New set up, RfIs/RfQs/RfPs, negotiations, life cycle management…
Basically, your job is to ensure that we get maximum value of our IT contracts during the full contract period. To do so, you must establish a new set up while at the same time be key player in management of existing contracts and negotiations of new, like our business-critical CRM contract that is up for re-negotiation this fall. The position will give you the opportunity to personally impact the company’s bottom line and you will be trusted to shape the role in close dialogue with our VP for Global IT and Operation to whom you report. Your primary tasks will be to:
- Engage with managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into commercially strong IT contracts
- Scout for alternatives to existing vendors and suppliers
- Support and/or drive (re)negotiations and ensure that commercial terms are competitive
- Challenge suppliers on value and service levels
- Drive life cycle management of IT contracts
- Build a best-in class IT contract management set-up
- Support other part of Milestone on an ad hoc basis on non-IT supplier contracts
As the IT organisation’s new contract expert, you will also be one point of contact to Legal related to IT contracts – as “bi-lingual” you can bridge the perspectives of both worlds. Travel activities are expected to be limited, approx. 10-15 days per year.
Good experience within contract and supplier management
We are looking for a profile with the drive, vision and experience to build something new from scratch and the additional ability to thrive in a set up where guidelines and processes must be defined accordingly (by you). At the same time, you must have the analytical skills and sense of detail it takes to dissect a contract and find the weak spots. Additionally, you must be a good negotiator with the ability to challenge with an understanding of that a good contract always brings value to both parties. This – and you overall stakeholder management and coordination – also calls for your communication skills including your understanding of your various audience. Additionally, your CV comprises:
- A commercially oriented university degree at Master’s level
- Several years of experience within contract and supplier management
- A good understanding of IT contracts across SW, HW and consulting
- Very good English skills, written and spoken (including legal terms)
Global IT and Operations – your new department
You will join approx. 50 highly skilled colleagues in Global IT at the Milestone HQ in Brøndby, Greater Copenhagen. We are responsible for all external facing solutions, for our internal systems and the operation of Milestones infrastructure and cloud offerings.
