This is a unique opportunity for you to be part of Ambu’s Distribution team in an exciting role as Distribution Specialist with focus on our 3PL set-up. We are looking for a new colleague who wants to come join us on our journey of growing and improving our complex global distribution. As our new Distribution Specialist, you will get to work with both operational support to our outsourced warehousing operations, but also with administration and optimization of current processes and managing the supplier relationship.
You will join the Distribution Team, which currently comprises of 4 experienced and dedicated colleagues with a broad background within Shipping, Distribution and Warehousing. You will report to the Head of Distribution and work closely together with the distribution colleagues who ensure the physical flow of Ambu’s products, so it is available across the globe. Stakeholders within Ambu and our logistics partners are critical for us to continuously support scalable solutions, enabling Ambu to execute efficiently.
The Distribution team works out of Ambu’s headquarters in Ballerup. Approximately 10-20 travel days per year are to be expected.
As Distribution Specialist your responsibilities will include:
• Monitor 3PL performance and drive improvement initiatives
• Support colleagues in daily operation support to 3PLs
• Responsible for updating and managing supplier information
• Be the anchor within global warehousing projects by driving projects ensuring an end2end perspective
• Optimize and harmonize global distribution processes
• Create better supply chain transparency
• Support monthly distribution accounting process
• Evaluate and participate in negotiations with 3PL
Key competences
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience from a similar position with 3PL set-up
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset
• High energetic drive, motivation, and accountability
• You have a relevant education and fluency in English, both spoken and written
• It’s a plus to have worked with a 3PL setup in a global context
• Experience working with partners from other cultures, particularly experience with Far East partners
• Knows how to work in an ERP system
