The position

As a Business Analyst in Procurement BI, you will work in close collaboration with experienced business partners, BI professional, and category managers across our global procurement organisation to generate the most insights from big data.

You will be part of a BI team consisting of strong and experienced analysts and data engineer where you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a trusted insights partner within Indirect Procurement, driving the development and roll out of global BI tools (primarily Power BI) and tracking of performance framework
  • Developing cost models, analysing cost drivers and other variables with clear guidance on next steps to support major negotiations with our strategic suppliers
  • Supporting continuous improvements in our processes and innovation

Qualifications

  • You have completed a master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering or similar with excellent results
  • You are either newly graduated (with internship/ student assistant experience in an international environment) or have 2-3 years of working experience
  • You have experience with modelling financial cost drivers and quantifying business cases
  • You excel at identifying, structuring, and augmenting various data sources into quantifiable and actionable insights
  • You can navigate within a complex stakeholder landscape
  • You have hands-on experience with Power BI (while experience with Alteryx is a plus)

  • Curious, think out of the box and willing to explore multiple unconventional approaches
  • A strong team member with can-do attitude

About the department

Corporate Procurement is the Centre of Excellence for procurement in Novo Nordisk. We are responsible for the global procurement strategy, processes, and systems. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 30 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. Global Procurement has 500 employees around the world with the largest hubs in Denmark, India and the US.

A key enabler for taking Procurement to the next level will be to utilise advanced analytics and data modelling further to drive value in and from procurement. The BI team is responsible for driving this journey.
