What’s in it for you
As our new Project Director, you will drive IT & Automation for one of the largest programs in our Fill & Finish portfolio. In your new role, you will be leading a team of highly skilled project managers, work package owners across sites, and a massive cross-organizational stakeholder landscape (internal & external). Among your key responsibilities as our new project director, you will be:
• Overseeing the comprehensive project plan, schedule, milestones (including timelines), resource allocation, and budgeting
• Overseeing the project's progress, ensuring that it stays on track and meets its objectives. This will entail risk management and mitigation, problem-solving, and ensuring that all stakeholders, internal and external, are kept informed or involved throughout the project lifecycle.
• Responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, where you will be updating them on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations. This will also entail acting as escalation point with senior stakeholders
• You will be responsible for leading and managing the project team, including hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring team members. You will also be responsible for managing the team's workload, tracking progress, and ensuring that everyone is working towards the same goal.
• Driving a standard approach of mobilizing the team (including a global harmonized approach on internal and external split) and executing the project across sites through site work package owners
• Responsible for ensuring the program team and sites are sufficiently prepared for FAT, SAT, and PV; also, that these processes are standardized and aligned with the overall program
The position will allow you to travel across our suppliers and production sites.
Do you have what it takes?
We seek a candidate with experience in managing large-scale and complex projects with a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders. In addition, we see that you will be able to tick most of the following boxes: • Comprehensive understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and techniques to effectively plan, execute, monitor, and control the program. Experience with frameworks like PMBOK or PRINCE2 and change management methodologies is an advantage
• Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, where you can use your strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyse situations, evaluate options, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Experience building strong relationships and managing expectations with stakeholders by effectively communicating the program's objectives, progress, and potential risks to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• The ability to act as a role model in living Novo Nordisk values, gaining energy from working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong abilities as a leader of project teams, where you can work independently and effectively. Likewise, we expect that you are an excellent teammate, who thrives in an environment where new challenges and focus can change quickly, but always with the overall common goal in mind.
