Are you looking for an exciting hands-on learning opportunity to supplement your studies? The working hours are flexible from minimum 18 to maximum 37 hours a week enabling you to combine an internship with lectures at university, project work or writing your Master’s thesis. About the department
Global IT Operations is responsible for IT infrastructure, end user services and end user support across Novo Nordisk globally. We set the strategic direction of the technology foundation of Novo Nordisk. You will be part of a small team supporting the head of Global IT Operations.
You will be assigned independent responsibility for your tasks. To maximise your and the department’s learning from the internship you will team up with experienced colleagues, who share their knowledge and experience with you, while you share your modern way of working and approach to problem solving. We are hiring a group of Interns for the autumn 2019, and there will be learning sessions and presentations that you will be doing in the group of Interns, e.g. kick-off presentation of yourself as well as learning presentations to the management team in Global IT Operations. Your workplace would primarily be in Bagsværd, Denmark.
The position
You will be reporting to the Executive Assistant to the head of Global IT Operations. Your main tasks will be within IT financial management, (budgets, processes and controlling), driving smaller projects and communication tasks across Global IT Operations, drive the planning of area events and management meetings, incl. other administrative tasks. Within IT financial management, there will be great opportunity to drive and develop the right processes needed in a Global Organisation.
As part of the internship, the candidate will work with and be introduced to important areas of managing IT in the pharmaceutical industry, such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes, GxP regulations and project management.
- Internship period: 6 months
- Working hours: Flexible (min. 18 and max. 37 hours a week)
- Start date: September 2019
- Internships are remunerated if your education track allows
- A Danish full-time work permit is required
Qualification
We are looking for students who are in their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. We are looking for an Intern with passion for IT Infrastructure and the interplay between business and IT. An ideal candidate is a student in their first or second year of their Master's studies. You are currently studying your Master's degree within IT, Web Technology, Communication or another relevant field. You must have strong communication and great IT/Microsoft Office capabilities. It is a benefit if you have insight into the corporate use of IT, ITIL processes, process optimisation, agile project management, IT Financial Management and organisation change management. Coding abilities are not required.
We expect the candidate to be service-minded, thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude. Ability to manage a large volume of tasks (with supervision), fluency in both oral and written English, sound personal judgement and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. In addition, you bring a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.
