R&D in Novo Nordisk is going through a transformation and with a changing organisation there is an increasing need for developing our people and organisation. To help drive this, we are looking for two experienced HR Business Partners (HRBP) to replace two of our colleagues, who are pursuing exciting new opportunities internally. The new HRBPs will work with one of two areas within Research & Development: Global Drug Discovery and Global Research Technologies.
About the areas
In Global Drug Discovery, we work on exploring game changing scientific concepts which could develop into live changing medicines. We work with an entrepreneurial mindset in research sites in DK, UK, USA and China, collaborate with biotechs, Academia and non-profit organisations and progress treatment concepts, also for areas beyond diabetes and obesity.
In Global Research Technologies (GRT), we drive drug innovation across all therapy areas in Novo Nordisk. This we do by discovering new molecules, designing new processes, engineering new formulations and developing new patents - all in the pursuit to bring new innovative therapy treatments to patients.
As an HRBP, you will also be part of the Research & Development People and Organisation unit that supports all of Novo Nordisk Research & Development and you will primarily be working in Måløv, Denmark. You will be working in an environment that values professionalism, business acumen, high execution standards and agility.
The position
As an HRBP your main job is to understand the business priorities and translate strategy into relevant and impactful HR activities. This includes driving organisational development and effectiveness, culture and engagement, change management, talent management & development and strategic workforce management.
Together with passionate and professional colleagues, you will be responsible for continuously reviewing, assessing and evolving the business to drive organizational efficiency, scalability and agility. Furthermore, you will be shaping and fostering an engaging, diverse and inclusive employee environment rooted in the Novo Nordisk Way.
As the organisation is changing you will also be expected to accelerate the transition of change, in parallel with the adoption of future skillsets, mindsets and behaviours. This also calls for building leadership capabilities and plans to address the future needs as well as creating opportunities for talents to reach their full potential. In addition to that you will also be facilitating a systematic process to understand and inform future workforce needs; identifying gaps and developing plans to address, invest and optimize resources across the organisation.
As a critical and trusted partner, you build solid relationships with the business and you have the ability to identify talent challenges and play an advisory role in addressing them. You will have your own areas of responsibility, but you will work in close collaboration with your HR colleagues and the managers in the organisation.
Qualifications
We are looking for person with a relevant Master’s degree and a solid professional background in HR and a minimum of five years of working experience within HR preferably from a multinational company. You understand the organisational dynamics and you have a proven track record within most of the classical disciplines in the HR life cycle. You thrive with developing and improving HR activities that are linked to the overall business purpose and you have a strategic mindset and a strong execution drive. You have extensive experience with what works in practice and you strike a good balance between challenging and supporting the organisation. You enjoy having the responsibility for both process and outcome and you know by experience that success depends on what you deliver to your customers.
As a person you are confident and comfortable in your skill set, with a collaborative personality making connections easily and you are comfortable working independently and self-motivating. As we are working in a global context it is essential that you are fluent and comfortable in English, both in writing and in speech.
