The position You will work under the supervision of a Scientist on advancing our workflows for discovering new therapeutic antibodies. Novel developments in antibody discovery technology include large, cognately paired antibody repertoires using single B cell V(D)J sequencing. We are building analysis workflows for selecting the best possible antibody candidates considering complex aspects and numerous parameters. Your responsibilities will include: Running/adjusting scripts in the established pipeline for antibody sequence clustering analysis Writing/running scripts and plotting data for presentation (e.g., phylogenetic clustering) Documenting the work in electronic notebooks and repositories (e.g., jupyter) At Novo Nordisk, we share a passion for changing patients’ lives, and we are always looking for talented individuals who want to join us in this effort. Qualifications You are currently a student with a background in Bioinformatics or a similar field. Knowledge of biological sequence analysis (alignments, clustering, etc) and proficiency in writing functions (in Python or R) – both for bioinformatics and general data wrangling/pipelining) Familiarity with the Linux platform and experience use of MS Office software for communication (Outlook, PowerPoint) Fluency in English and ability to work well independently under general instruction An advantage would be Experience in NGS data analysis (quality assessment, sequence alignments, filtering by programming), data visualization, and knowledge of antibody structure/sequence nomenclature and basic immunology. About the department In Antibody Technology we develop antibodies for projects across all therapy areas at Novo Nordisk utilizing a broad range of immunology, molecular biology, and cell-based technologies to support therapeutic programs and reagent tool antibody generations.
