Sales Offshore Operations Pre- Assembly
We are looking for a Pre-Assembly site manager whose goal in Pre-Assembly is to support the projects in the region in the effective execution of the Construction Projects. The Pre-Assembly department supports the construction projects by completing as much work on the turbine components as possible before going offshore. Also being responsible for the handling of components from the delivery to Site up until making them available for Installation. Pre-Assembly plans and completes the activities on site and provides for the timely, safe execution of the project to the right level of quality and within pre-assembly budget.
The overall responsibility of the Pre-assembly Site Manager is in relation to daily site activities and coordinating the work of contractors to utilise resources in an efficient manner and maintain a co-operative, motivated and effective team. Working in close collaboration with the Pre-assembly Project Manager you will ensure the pre-assembly project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required safety and quality standards (within agreed specifications), in partnership with the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise and deploy pre-assembly resources, tools and equipment and be motivated in resolving internal issues to ensure project is unaffected
  • Coordinate the work of Contractors and support close communication/alignment with the Pre-assembly Project Manager and relevant subcontracted companies
  • Support the Pre-assembly Project Manager with ensuring interfaces to the project team
  • Support effective HSE and Quality management within the pre-assembly site
  • Ensure adequate training of pre-assembly personnel
  • Notify of incidents and accidents according to HSE procedures
  • Coordinating and planning inbound shipments together with the transport department


Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ experience in similar position
  • Experience in wind industry is desired but not essential
  • A technical background in a relevant industry is essential
  • Experience with Health Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Experience of being Quality (QAQC) focused


Competencies

  • You must be team-oriented, with the ability to work alone using your initiative with the ability to problem solve
  • Ability to remain calm and determined during high activities being enthusiastic and highly motivated
  • Ability to communicate at a variety of levels with established office and site management skills
  • Have solid experience of process understanding
  • Be action orientated
  • Ability to work flexibly and in adaptable manner

Additional Information
Primary work location: Esbjerg, Denmark and one of Vesta’s other locations.
This position requires approximately 180 days of travel per year. As a candidate you will need to be flexible to travel to other sites on a regular basis.
