Are you an experienced Treasury Professional who enjoys working with many different stakeholders across the world? Do you have a highly analytical mind-set, comprehensive business understanding and strong communication skills? Could an international assignment be appealing to you? Then you might be the right candidate for the position as our Treasury Manager located in Zürich, CH.
The position
You will have the responsibility to lead treasury activities across Africa, Asia, Middle East, Oceania (Region AAMEO) and Latin America (Region LATAM), including prioritisation and coordination of tasks towards treasury colleagues in Bagsværd and Istanbul. You will interact daily with Novo Nordisk affiliates across the region and prepare recommendations on financial risks to senior management.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate treasury activities across AAMEO/LATAM
- Manage financial risks in affiliates
- Funding and capital structure of affiliates and holding companies
- Ensure available and compliant financial routes for sanctioned countries
- Maintaining external banking relationships
- Limiting trapped cash
- Ad hoc analysis
You will follow global financial markets with a close eye to political events, macroeconomic developments and currency markets and how these impact Novo Nordisk. Your key stakeholders will be the Corporate Vice President of Corporate Treasury and senior finance leaders in Region International Operations, including the Senior Vice President of Finance in International Operations and the Vice Presidents of Finance in AAMEO and LATAM. You will be the natural go-to person and be the strategic sparring partner for the organization on treasury activities across the regions.
We imagine that you will kick-off the position in Bagsværd for six months of onboarding before you relocate to Zürich. You will be part of a dedicated and professional team characterised by a high degree of knowledge sharing and sparring. You can look forward to a broad and international contact base and professional cooperation with our affiliates and the international banking sector. There will be approximately 30 days of travelling outside Switzerland per year.

About the department
You will be part of the Global Financial Risk team in Corporate Treasury who is responsible for managing financial risks in affiliates and maintaining and developing the Group’s global cash management set-up. We are a department of six dedicated, engaged and highly skilled professionals with five located in our headquarter in Bagsværd, DK and one located in Zürich, CH.
The Global Financial Risk department is part of Corporate Treasury which also consists of the Corporate Financial Risk department responsible for handling financial risks at Group level, and the Insurance and Enterprise Risk department responsible for handling Novo Nordisk’s insurance programs and the Group’s overall enterprise risk management set-up.
Qualifications
You have a strong academic background with a Master of Science in e.g. Economics or Finance. You possess solid analytical skills and preferably have 4-8 years of relevant experience from the financial sector or a mid to large size company.
You are a strong communicator, who can make complexities easy to understand, and you excel in written and spoken English.
You are analytical, ambitious and energetic with a positive attitude towards challenges and eager to learn and develop. You proactively drive a project forward and deliver high quality. You take ownership of your assignments, can work independently while also achieving results through others. Furthermore, you have strong relationship management skills with the ability to connect with a wide-range of people of different cultures and seniority both inside and outside the company.
