Drive strategic projects across global procurement by joining an in-house consulting unit in ‘Business Intelligence and Project Office’

This position offers an opportunity to be part of building up an in-house procurement consulting unit and drive strategic development projects across Novo Nordisk’s global procurement operations. You will get unique exposure to a global organisation and stakeholder landscape and use your consultant skill set to make a difference in a time where procurement excellence is prominent on the corporate agenda.

About the Area

The position is based in ‘Business Intelligence and Project Office’ which is part of Corporate Procurement. Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the Global Procurement strategy. Corporate Procurement consists of 140 employees based in Denmark and India, and globally 500 people work in procurement.

The Position

As part of ‘Business Intelligence and Project Office’ you will join a team of ~10 highly talented and ambitious individuals, consisting of project managers with consulting and procurement backgrounds in Project Office and data analytics professionals in Business Intelligence. As a Project Manager you will join the Project Office and report directly to the Director of Business Intelligence and Project Office.

In your role, you will take part in building up our in-house procurement consulting unit and drive strategic development of Novo Nordisk global procurement operations covering a yearly spend of ~30 bDKK. You will be responsible for driving one or more global projects including the daily management of the project team(s) consisting of 1-3 members. The project portfolio focuses on supporting our Global Procurement strategy with recent examples including defining an operating model between Corporate Procurement and International Operations, ensure an effective and global offshoring setup, drive effective category portfolio management in collaboration with Sourcing Managers and Category Managers globally, drive procurement digitalisation by establishing an eSourcing center of excellence etc.

Qualifications

You have completed a Master's Degree (e.g. in economics, business administration, finance, engineering, supply chain management or similar) with excellent results. You bring a solid project management toolbox build on 2-5 years of experience working with procurement, project management or business development in a leading organisation or as a management consultant from a top tier consultancy.

You are known for your strong drive and ability to create results, your problem solving & analytical skills and an international mind-set. As you will cooperate broadly with many stakeholders, you have excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills and you communicate clearly and concisely. Finally, you work fluently in English.
