The current Director has been appointed to a position as local CFO in one of our international affiliates. Thus, we are in the process of identifying a strong leader to take up the role as Director of Business Intelligence and Project Office in Novo Nordisk Corporate Procurement.

Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the CFO of Novo Nordisk. Procurement excellence is prominent on the corporate agenda, and we are considered as a strategic partner, impacting several corporate agendas including Novo Nordisk’s environmental and social strategy.

About the function

Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. Corporate Procurement consists of 150 employees based in Denmark and India, and globally 500 people work in procurement. The position

As Director of BI and Project Office you will be leading a strong team and be responsible for driving the strategic development of Novo Nordisk global procurement, through effective project portfolio management and development of global category strategies and operating models, in collaboration with Sourcing Managers and Category Managers, covering a yearly spend of more than 25 bDKK.

Further, you will lead the data analytics team where you will ensure a best-in-class business intelligence function, a solid data foundation of the global spend, standardised and accurate spend analytics and KPI reporting, and anchoring of procurement savings in the budgets.

You will report to the Corporate Vice President of Corporate Procurement and will be part of both Corporate Procurement Management Group and Global Procurement Leadership Team and we expect you to help drive the overall performance of the area and of the global, functional organisation.

Your team consists of 10+ highly talented project managers, business development managers, data analytics professionals and a team leader. Further, you will work in close collaboration with our colleagues in our shared service centre in Bangalore.

Qualifications

You have completed a Master's Degree (e.g. in economics, business administration, engineering, supply chain management) with a top 15% GPA. You have 8+ years of experience from working with strategy, procurement, finance, project management and/or business development in a leading organisation or as a management consultant from a top tier consultancy. You take leadership naturally and have high professional expectations for you and your colleagues. You have an international mind-set, you communicate clearly and concisely, and you are comfortable in giving presentations to senior management. Finally, you work fluently in English.
