We are looking for skilled Senior Network Architects, Network Operations Specialists and Senior Monitoring Specialists for network and application to enable the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk. You will be part of developing the foundational IT capabilities required for Novo Nordisk to succeed with an ambitious transformation of our entire business process landscape.
Join Global IT and our Foundational IT Programme
Global IT is launching a new initiative to create the necessary core IT capabilities within infrastructure, integrations, data management, and platforms that will enable the digitalisation and future growth of our business. Throughout 2020 we will be recruiting different profiles for this initiative. This is our first wave of hiring so the people we bring on board now will have a unique chance to put their footprint on the programme.

The department
The positions are based in Global IT Operations - an area with 200+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our infrastructure operations and digital workplace services. The Corporate Infrastructure department is a team of highly skilled and dedicated employees responsible for the network architecture and future development of the administrative network in Novo Nordisk. We are currently implementing software defined network and other new platforms to help support the future digital journey. We are on a journey applying agile ways of working in our IT projects and in operations. This will be delivered according to the SAFE framework with agile teams running sprints/iterations on in a global organisation.
The positions
As Network Operations Specialists you will be responsible for optimization of our administrative network and support transitions of new services into operation together with our vendors and local IT.
• Deep knowledge of Cisco networks and global implementations
• Extensive experience with troubleshooting and optimization of global networks
• Experience with automating network management and software defined networks
As Senior Monitoring Specialists you will be responsible for establishing our network and application performance monitoring area in Global IT Operations. You need to have a deep knowledge of monitoring tools and how to implement these in a global company.
• Establish transparency in performance bottlenecks and develop automated response flows
• Ensure that the customer experience is at the heart of all activities.
• Support Network Architects and Operation Specialists in optimizing the performance of our infrastructure
As Senior Network Architects you will be responsible for defining and continuously developing services within the network/platform infrastructure services, including:
• Develop global strategies and standards for Novo Nordisk global network/platform infrastructure in close collaboration with other global senior architects
• Ownership of key global projects in the Infrastructure strategy, and ensuring implementation of these according to timeline
• Build global roadmap for relevant technologies and processes, incorporating needs for local differences
• Stay ahead on industry trends and assess new products and technologies
The positions are in Bagsværd, Denmark; however, your daily work place can take you almost anywhere in the world according to the project you are working on.
Your qualifications
You have a Master’s degree within IT, and you have a high passion for working with a global IT organisation. Moreover you have several years of experience with Cisco technologies from design, implementation & operations, and you like working in an international matrix organisation that is developing. You have a good interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders. Preferably you have knowledge of Cisco SDN, SD-WAN technologies, monitoring tools and automation tools.
As a person you are outgoing with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. In addition, you bring a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning. You preferably have experience from working within an Agile/SAFe/ framework.
