Maersk’s Transfer Pricing Team is organized with a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Copenhagen, as well as supporting transfer pricing roles in other jurisdictions. We work with regional and local tax colleagues to address transfer pricing-related queries and projects, as well as with other functions in Finance and the broader Maersk organisation.
We are looking for a transfer pricing manager to join the team in Copenhagen.
This role is a 12-month maternity cover, with the possibility to transfer to a permanent role for the right candidate.
In this role, you will work across all areas of transfer pricing to support the transfer pricing team’s efforts around business model alignment and M&A support, transfer pricing controversy and operational transfer pricing as well as TP documentation and compliance. The job is challenging and fun and covers a range of TP-related responsibilities in a Global organization.

The Transfer Pricing Manager will work with colleagues in the Transfer Pricing Team, the Tax Team and will interact with stakeholders in both Finance and Commercial roles in Maersk.
Projects are driven by business, organisational or regulatory changes, which impact TP models and related processes within Maersk. The Transfer Pricing Manager will take on responsibilities related to transfer pricing fact finding and analysis as well as project management across functions. Projects will typically impact the end-to-end transfer pricing process in several ways, and therefore the Transfer Pricing Manager will be working across planning, business model alignment, and operational transfer pricing in most projects.
The Transfer Pricing Manager will also work on projects that are tax/TP-specific such as country TP/Tax reviews, advance pricing agreements, financial transactions analyses, transfer pricing-related audits, monitoring of transfer pricing data and outcomes, analysis of legislative changes impacting Maersk transfer pricing position, transfer pricing risk assessments, etc.
The role will allow a very broad exposure to all transfer pricing matters on a Global scale. It will also cater to development of skills in important transfer pricing-related areas, including data modelling, operational transfer pricing and process design and implementation.
The role is based in Copenhagen and will report to the Head of transfer pricing.
The Transfer Pricing Manager will participate in both internal and external training, including training covering transfer pricing and tax fields, as well as broader training focused on Maersk commercial and financial understanding.
Key responsibilities
This role is focused on transfer pricing-related projects across Maersk, where you will get to work within a Global Tax organization focusing on supporting Maersk’s journey to becoming the leading Global Ocean and Logistics integrator. Accordingly, the role is broad and allows exposure to all relevant transfer pricing-related areas, both on a project basis as well as in relation to recurring tasks and responsibilities.
Other key tasks:
- Participate as project member in transfer pricing and tax-related projects, driving fact finding, analysis and risks assessment from a transfer pricing perspective
- Take on project management roles in various projects, where relevant, working with colleagues in the Tax, Finance and Commercial Teams
- Partner with Tax colleagues to ensure appropriate business advisory in relation to new products and services, new commercial arrangements and other business changes impacting transfer pricing
- Assume responsibility for tax audits, including ongoing tax risk management reviews
- Work across all relevant areas of transfer pricing to ensure the right level of transfer pricing readiness, business model alignment, operational TP set-up and documentation across Maersk
- Support the Head of Transfer Pricing across projects and tasks
We are looking for
The ideal candidate has transfer pricing experience ideally from a Big4 firm, tax authorities or from an in-house tax department, with a relevant professional qualification or master’s degree (tax law, economics or other).
You are expected to drive projects and realize results in a transformative environment.
You have good interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude and excel in stakeholder and project management.
Furthermore you:
• Have or are prepared to achieve proficiency with excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud
Proficiency in English is a prerequisite. Some travel activity is to be expected.
